1520 was the minimum ELO needed to get gold BEFORE the rank readjustments. Currently the minimum to get gold is 1500 ELO.

You dun goofed. Also, chillax. Everyone has their "tilt" moments, in normal or ranked matches. Improve on your gameplay and come out swinging in S3. Having that "Debbie Downer" personality (and letting that dictate your gameplay and motivation to do your best in games) won't help with achieving your goals in the long run.

Feeling good to be silver is a point-of-view issue. Personally silver tier went to shyt for me, but since you don't know the whole story, I'll let you have your bliss xD

S1 gold tier solo queue was 1520 CURRENT elo, and it was much harder. S2 gold tier solo queue is 1500 top rated elo. S2 gold tier TEAMS is 1450 top rated elo.

Just played a little bit of elise, and shes not that bad. Properly build she's got some amazing burst, but since spiderform forces you to be on top of someone you need to build some resistance/health or you will get melted before being able to do anything.

Yes, but "focusing the ADC" often means "get grossly out of position and get yourself killed while not actually getting their AD carry", so it's better to chip away at the tanks when compared to the alternative.
