Just check Equestria Daily the day of the episode, there will always be at least half a dozen links to streams so you can watch the episode as it actually airs.

First off, more screentime for Luna plox. Or at least another episode for her...perhaps?! Whatever, I'm ranting.
I honestly thought this episode was pretty good.
...Okay I'm lying. This was perfect. The homages, the plot, the lesson. Pretty good.
...Okay I'm lying about that too. There were...some flaws...
-The Crystal Heart was at the top of the castle. In a open room. How couldn't they just levitate/fly up there?
-Where did Twilight had the time to lern Black Magic? Of course.
And more to come, after I rewatch it without the momentary lag.


To be honest, the previews I've watched, compared to the WHOLE THING, wow. They were completely out of context.cra


As for Sombra, holy crap. A man of no words, and he's badass to the bone. Sadly, once he speaks, HE LOOSES.
I kid you not. Just wait till the episodes come out to YT and iTunes.

His voice was better than I expected. Unfortunately, the fact that he didn't talk that much or do anything major before he vanished into thin air kinda makes him forgettable. =/

I kinda wish this show would decide between being pure action or pure comedy, cause 2 parters, being that their main focuses are taking down the villain, are really disappointing, ever since Season 1. If this was an action show, magic would get things done quicker, brawls would ensure, and possibly have enough time for a proper ending other than a rushed deus ex machina. No wonder MLP fans would recommend slice-of-life episodes. Somber hasn't even done anything major. Weakest villain by far.

That doesn't mean I dislike this episode, cause I really enjoyed this episode. My only main gripes about this. The songs... they honestly felt mediocre compared to previous songs. Oh, and while Twilight is walking up/down stairs, why can't she teleport her way? Magic-consuming? Even though teleport has killed the ending of "Dragon Quest" for me, there are times where it's necessary to do so, like travelling. I liked the gravity spell, though. I compliment new spells.

Favourite bits are probably gravity sliding, Pinkie coming out of her Fluttershy disguise, and crystal form Rarity @_@

Well it's nice to finally watch some new pony, I don't know how long I could of lasted with out some new pony.

The premiere was good in my opinion, it just didn't feel right like hearing the songs know with context seems a bit out of place to me.

The villain seemed like any other villain.( but since his powers seem to emanate from his horn even when separated and right after he gets defeated you can clearly see his horn get blown away this might become a very important plot device in a future episode I hope)

And what hell is up with that black magic voodoo stuff just comes out of nowhere.

In all I liked the episode it just feels rushed especially in the first part.

In all I liked the episode it just feels rushed especially in the first part.

I kinda disagree, I thought the first part wasn't rushed nor slow. The setup flowed really well with every scene relevant to the story, at least IMO is better than the Royal Wedding Part 1.

But in case you didn't know, the Gak thing was because during the Season 3 premiere there was a ridiculous amount of commercials involving "Gak" that the fans decided to have some fun with it.

How subtle. This is a sudden move that Trixie decided to take over Ponyville. I guess Twilight chasing her off the town must've cause some serious psychological damage. Maybe Twilight's right that she should lay low on her powers.

It should die down soon enough (unless the Hub spams Gak commercials again). Again people are just having fun with it, like how people poke fun of 60s Spiderman for it's horrible quality and bizarreness.
