If you mean the new russian league, didn't they come to an agreement with the NHL to only poach unsigned players?

They agreed not to take each other's players under contract, but they breached the agreement.

Thread's kind of dead but did anyone watch the skills compitition today?

Was pretty disappointed at how many events they had... All I saw was:

- hardest shot
- accuracy
- Fancy breakaway
- fastest skater
- breakaway competition
- young guns game

There used to be so many more events...

That's all there was, pat. There wasn't anything else. Young Guns takes up three event slots because it's three periods long.

Didn't they use to do the Young Guns on the Friday, essentially leaving time for stickhandling races, 3 on 1 rushes, etc.?

All Star Game itself was pretty kickass. Tim Thomas essentially made the game-winning save in overtime.

Round 2, Detroit and Anaheim. Gonna be intense.

Anyone see game 7 with Devils/Carolina? I would have stabbed myself if i was a Devils fan.
