How was your day?
Why do none of my clothes fit anymore? 3X shirts just don't fit.

Screw this. Who wants to go shopping with me?

Is that even a question?

I would so go shopping with you if you lived in the greater Seattle area.

Matt got us tickets to the Houston Aquarium in two weeks! Made my whole day!

Going home this weekend for a banquet for my internship this past summer, so it's going to be a fun-filled weekend and I can't wait!

I might have considered this had their prices been a lot more reasonable. The thing is I'm losing weight quite rapidly. These clothes will likely only fit me for a few months at best. I can't afford to pay $65 on a pair of shorts when it will only last 3 months.

First off, it's nearing winter and you live in Seattle. Don't buy shorts, lol. Secondly, I'd suggest taking a stroll through their sales/factory sections and signing up for their mailing lists. On a weekly basis they usually have some sort of deal that runs 30% off of their sales prices. Factory is always cheaper than the regular site as well if cost is a big issue.

I don't know how much more weight you plan on losing/how much you weigh now, but eventually you will plateau or decide that you like a certain weight range for yourself. Once you're there, by some shirts, get a nice pair of jeans and some cords, and you're good to go Tongue Or you could always just buy from Nordstroms and then return the pomegranate 3 months later since they allow returns on pretty much anything.

It was an example - not a real world scenario.

I currently weigh 286. I'm looking to be 174. I've plateaued at least three times and busted through all three of them with ease. Just increase caloric intake for a bit and then reduce it again. It's not hard.

This is why I agree with both of you. If it's not already clear, J.Crew is the brand Jared and I live and breathe. But I agree, it doesn't make much sense to completely refill your closet with something at that price point or higher since you're still losing weight like crazy.

But it doesn't hurt to skim through their pieces every now and then, if anything for style inspiration for what you'd like to wear. In the meantime Gap, Zara, H&M, etc. are great for inexpensive versions of trends and timeless staples, so I'd say take a look there for now to find cheaper options that will serve you well until you drop down to the next lower size.

I said f' it. I want to look nice, not cheap. I setup an appt with them and was very upfront about my budget and needs. Going to check them out. Thanks for the recommendation.

EDIT: They said they don't carry any of the stuff I want to buy in my size in the brick and mortar store. Poo. Sad

You're gonna be in Houston and you're not even gonna see me, ROOD.

Today I worked 9-6, produced 15 pieces, interviewed a possible floral production helper, and carved a pumpkin with friends!

It was great and awesome. Tongue
Had a presentation about the constitution of my country. Slept like pomegranate last night but that didn't stop me from making an awesome presentation and even got the teacher to congratulate me. I love it when teachers notice my efforts.

Sad panda is sad Sad. Soon though!

For the meantime, I'm sure there are plenty of places you can go to look nice, and not cheap. Let me know if you need suggestions.

I'm already looking at Nordstrom Rack, Kohls, and Casual Male XL. Hit me up if you've got any others.

Banana Republic, Gap, Espirit, and H&M are good for basics.

Once in a while, Abercrombie and Fitch has some decent stuff if you're looking at casual stuff too.

Nope, all of those, including Mandalay's, are what I'd suggest.

OT: Last night was just...ugh. Completely reinforced how, sorry, even though it's my senior year I hate my life right now, with regards to feeling stuck out here in Wisconsin, and need to move to New York immediately. I'm just so done with literally everything now, even close friends. I mean people are still great, but I don't have best friends, I don't have a relationship, and while I don't NEED those right now per se, it's not like I'm finding them here.

God I'm ready for my life to begin.
