Gunslinger Build (Lv. 10-200)
blitzkrieg Wrote:what would you use the points in? throwing bomb? personally I think a 100% stun rate is maybe just a little bit more important than an absolutely horrible skill that you'll never use.

ohsnap, I didn't look to see what came after it. xD I guess you could get it earlier? Iunno. I'll play with stuff on my Gunslinger. Chin

Granade/Throwing bomb is fun. D; Useless, but fun.
If it did more damage, it could really be abused in cPQ Stage 1. ;o Just glide from ladder to ladder bomb-sniping from the top. Excellent

Takebacker Wrote:What damage? You mean the 1s you usually hit with it?

>_>

Does it really hit 1s all the time when maxed? :f6: Fiel's tables say it has 120%, which is more than each bullet in Double Shot.

it doesn't hit 1's all the time, but often. it's got some sort of internal mastery going on. don't be fooled by the 120%, it actually does really REALLY horrible damage.

i have a question about the spearslinger thing: whats better, max SK, max BT of split 4/5?

You don't need maxed grenade to have fun with it.

You usually just hit 1s against like squids or something with a lot of def or something. I think the way it works its damage is similar to sins when they punch stuff

i.e. They do pretty good damage against low level stuff when punching but usually 1s at higher levels.

Not exactly the same, but similar.

@ Steve

If my guess is correct (and I'm a good guesser) then Blank Shot damage is similar to PKB. Ask any archer, PKB can hit a decent amount at high levels (up to 2k at 80?) but has absolutely no stability. So it almost always can hit 1's as well.

Bribery Wrote:Conclusions:
  • If the information blitzkrieg posted is correct then level 10 Battleship isn't worth it past level 124.
  • At level 124, level 1 and level 10 are proportional in endurance:cooldown ratio.
  • Every level beyond level 124, level 1 Battleship is the best in terms of endurance:cooldown ratio. In fact, at level 200, level 1 Battleship is over 3 times better than level 10 in terms of endurance:cooldown ratio.

So, do you recommend we keep it at level 1? O_o

Well that is what he just said yeah.

Since the ship gets Hp every time you level the extra Hp for levelling up the skill doesn't make up for the longer cool down. You will spend more time in the ship with level 1 than you would with max because of the longer cool down time.

Wait what - that means that with level 1 Battleship at level 200 you could reasonably expect to stay planted in a Battleship. Something looks suspect, here.

Pretty sure if the boss your fighting does its 1/1 attack, it'll mean the ship also has 1hp left. Its unknown as of yet whether or not you can unmount the ship to reset its hp.

Also, it has a SEPARATE endurance from your character's hp. Meaning if you don't have enough hp to survive an initial attack, your ship will die with you.

Yes, but save 9 SP at the end just incase they realize that level 10 Battleship is pointless.

(HI WIN)

If the boss does 1/1, the ship takes damage equal to the hp you lost. It doesn't go down to 1 hp. (seen in this video @ 1:23). If you unmount the ship, it does not reset its hp either. In that same video, she unmounts many times, but if you look at the ship buff in the corner, its hp remains the same each time.

The first thing was proven false long ago. The fact that it doesn't refill HP on remounts has been known for a long time as well.

Isn't dash not a important skill, and a damage skill be more usefull no matter what, even if it is somersault kick?

Unless you're a Spearslinger, Somersault does crappy damage in first job.

But I really don't see much of a purpose of Dash. It isn't crap compared to other skills, and really hasn't helped me with training.

it will end up helping you a lot more than somersault kick ever will. if you really want it that much though, just take the points out of quick motion. it's less important than dash, though I believe it's slightly more useful than somersault kick as well.

I personally love Dash, extra mobility is always welcome in my opinion.

If you do get Somersault Kick, how long would you use it? For a few levels during first job? Dash is useful for getting around town and moving across flat maps, it is useful until you can get a mount.

dash rocks. end of discussion. im lvl 40 and i use it a LOT in cpq. when theres a giant mob of knig block golems, what do i do? i use dash and get the heck out. plus it lasts 20 seconds at max lvl! i also use it before i use float to maximize the effectiveness

Put Dash on a button. Double-tap Dash is hard as hell to use.

Pressing a hotkeyed Dash gives you a speed and jump boost without immediately locking you into moving in a direction. This is useful whenever you need some extra jump to reach a platform.

I use Dash all the time. It becomes a habit to hit it right before landing in any direction, and serves me almost just as well as a passive 10 jump/30 speed boost. This means not needing any speed equips. The 5 MP cost is barely noticeable next to your other skills. I've probably drained only 20k-30k MP to date using it.

Moreover, level 1 Dash actually hurts more when you accidentally it. Not less.
