Okay, so my cousin, who is my age, didn't go away on a soccer scholarship but stayed home and decided to go to a CC and figure things out. Probably her best choice. Come September I get a call, "guess who's pregnant", lo and behold she is pregnant with her boyfriend of 1+year, nice guy, but like wow okay. Learn that she had been hiding her pregnancy for over 6 months, not seeing any doctors, hiding her weight, no supplements, nothing. She just gave birth yesterday, on her due date, thank god because the stress from an unhealthy pregnancy produced deep vein thrombosis, putting her at risk for a stroke every moment she was carrying the child. I'm home this weekend and glad I can visit and meet my new cousin, but like this is a lot for me to process, she and I grew up and had the same expectations set out for us, and we've taken completely different tasks, it's going to be really hard to go see her. She also has yet to name her son, it's going on the third day, this worries me. Also, I was shocked to her that my brother has bought a ring and is planning on proposing. He didn't even bother telling anyone but my parents, neither me nor my eldest brother. He is proposing in about two weeks, this would be nice to know, but now there is going to be a new immediate member of my family, I love his soon-to-be fiancee and shes a sweetheart but wow marriage. Also, my mom brought up to me at dinner how my best friend who goes to the same uni as me, his mom is distraught that HE is gay, my mom consulted me about this and I know he isn't because I came out to him and we chatted and he is for sure straight, but I can't like tell my mom, no I know he isn't gay because this because I just can't come out yet. This is a lot to deal with because my mom was basically putting me in a corner at the restaurant basically telling me how parents should never question their kid's sexuality and just be loving and accepting regardless and then the conversation ended as soon as my dad sat down because that changes the atmosphere. This is going to be a long 4 days.
I was entirely fed up with Walmart. 95% of the store is crap food and crap merchandise. The other 5% was okay, but the selection is clearly lacking in the departments I'm interested in - local produce and healthful eating. Tonight I decided to branch out and went to a QFC.
This is amazing.
I love QFC so much. Prices are a bit on the high side, but overall worth it.

Got Dead Space 2 hrrrrrrghhhh. Now I have to finish this essay in 2 hours, otherwise I'd have to push it off to tomorrow, and I don't want to do that Q_Q. After this I have work for five hours, then Casino Night, then get to watch Batman Begins. Finally.
Went on a day long field trip (8am to 8pm) to the area around Stonehenge as part of my course. 8 hours of that day trip was on the coach. Long journeys bore me so much.
Didn't even have time to rest when I got back at around 8:30pm. Went back to my room, had a wash, got changed. Grabbed some booze, some snacks and a film (Scott Pilgrim vs The World) and went over to my Swedish friends place. He was bored and tired and very happy to see me. I kinda thought things would be awkward, since it's the first time i've seen him since I told him my feelings on Friday.
But no, things were great. Things felt "different" between us, but not in a bad way. The eye contact was different to how it was before, in that he maintained it for longer and it felt different. Not sure what to think about that, he also complimented me on my haircut, which is not like him. The way he talked to me also seemed different.
I'm definitely showing i'm a good friend right now haha. I brought over his favourite booze, his favourite flavoured snacks and a film which I knew he'd love (He'd never seen it before). He told me he was bored and lonely and wanted some company, and it looked like he definitely needed it. His eyes looked a little bloodshot. I didn't ask why, but he seemed grateful for me being there.
So I feel like i've done some good today. Maybe my feelings are unrequited right now (He said there's a possibility), but he's still my best friend, and I'm SO, SO glad that my feelings haven't changed that. It means more than I can say.

OT: Nothing special this weekend, just sleeping, relaxing, and getting caught up on work after an utterly stressful week. This upcoming weekend will be insane though, in all the right ways.
Ugh, KFC is the worst. I don't get how people can eat there. It's just carbs and insulin spike on a plate.
Relaxing weekend. I analyzed 11 files last week on my 4-day week. My boss asked for one file per day, and I did almost three. I'm excited. I'm going to try to do 12 this week because... well... because I can!
Exercised for the first time in a month. I imagine I'll have DOMS tomorrow morning, but damn did it feel good to get back in the groove. I can't wait to exercise tomorrow morning.
Wow my baby cousin is actually super cute and precious and it's the first time I've liked a baby and I'm just really happy because my cousin's boyfriend is a great guy and I think they're going to do just fine
