 Skill

Many, MANY changes were made to the Cygnus classes. Overall, these classes were WEAKENED. Unless I say otherwise, assume max level.

Noblesse:
- MATK received per level increased for Blessing skill. At max level, now receive 40 MATK instead of 30.

Soul Warrior:
- Soul Blade's damage decreased from 220% to 180%
- Brandish had its final 10 levels removed from the skill, but now carries an invisible (?) flag
- Advanced Combo now contains an invisible (?) flag
- Soul Blow's damage decreased from 310% to 75%

Flame Mage:
- Magic Claw is now fire elemental. The animation is changed to reflect the elemental shift.
- Fire Pillar's basic attack increased from 60 to 100
- Meteor now contains an invisible (?) flag
- Ifrit now contains an invisible (?) flag
- Fire Strike's basic attack weakened from 150 to 140

Windraider:
- Mortal Blow removed
- Thrust added to second job. It gains +2 speed for the first 10 levels and +1 speed thereafter. The skill maxes out at level 20
- Thrust removed from third job.
- Magnum Shot weakened from 620% to 550%
- Wind Shot weakened from 450% to 350%

Night Walker:
- Lucky 7 had its effects changed to look poisonous. The effect is purely aesthetic.
- Vampire's damage reduced from 40% to 30%. The skill's hitbox was changed from hitting both sides of you to 400% on one side.

Striker:
- Dash's max level is reduced to 10, but it still retains the same bonuses as T-Dash 20.
- Somersault's kick was changed to appear electrifying. The effect is purely aesthetic.
- Barrage's final 10 levels removed.
- Shark Wave's damage slightly decreased from 290% to 270%

so many new areas right now. Ereb looks cool, but meh. I'm guessing this is where the Knights of Cygnus live or something? idk, i haven't been watching the Knights of Cygnus that much(don't really like them except for Windbreaker)

EDIT: great, they made the Order even worse. -__- WindBreaker still pwns, but i think NightWalker is the worst. like the pics of the Knights.

It looks quite good IMO! It looks more like a Victoria Island remake, 5 years after the release of Maplestory...

Do you have enough time to show the skill animations? Poisonous Lucky 7, even though it has really no poison effect, looks like it'll look cool .

They probably just changed the color to greenish.

Is that supposed to be an old cornarian? Maybe this place links with Leafre somehow (Lore-wise)

Wow i really like the design of the NPC's, all these new places just get better and better looking.
I really like the idea of updating the graphics of old skills too. I wish they would give a little graphics refresh to all the old classes too.

Hmm, I think they did this to balance everything a little, but some things are a bit too nerfed. Like Soul Blow, they made it pretty useless now.

What are those invisible flags?

I'm fairly sure 'invisible' flags represent skills that aren't available right away - I did a quick search in an old .55 extraction in the bowmaster skills:

See a pattern? They're all non-core skills. It's possible that the newly invisible skills may be unlocked from a Cygnus quest once they're released.

These quests each translate to 'The soulmaster's new skill' , 'The soulmaster's newer skill',and so on. The level req is 100

I guess that is there way of not making these characters totally overpowered from the get go. Their normal counterparts will have a better chance now. That should put some people at ease

Not as much as the other classes...

Dropping Soul Blow's damage to 1/4 what it was might make the Soul Warrior not ridiculously overpowered.


And really limiting those skills to 100+ is like giving it a "mini" 4th job advance in between 70 and 120. Except I guess you could save up your SP and dump fully into those skills if you wanted to.
