A slower computer that pre-patched is not having problems.

I'm on Windows 7. I didn't pre-patch, but the window with the play button shows up after I click on Game Launcher.

Let us know if it works after you patch when the game goes up.

All via Pre-Patch.

Win 7 Home Premium #1: Game Launcher worked.
Win 7 Home Premium #2: Game Launcher worked.
Win 7 Home Premium #3 (Service Pack 1): Game Launcher failed. "MapleStory has stopped working"
Win Vista Home Premium (Service Pack 1): Game Launcher worked.

"Win 7 Home Premium #3 (Service Pack 1): Game Launcher failed. "MapleStory has stopped working"

I changed the ending on "Target:" for the shortcut properties to "\MapleStory.exe GameLaunching" and it worked.[/COLOR]

EDIT 2: Two of my friends tried the above fix. It worked for the both of them.

Gamelauncher worked on XP machine no problem, except for being effing slow as usual.
On 7 machine didn't work first time I tried, but did work after playing around with shortcut target as PeePeeAyeDeeKay suggested.
However, as far as I remember, the target ended up reset back to the way it was, so????

After logging in, received free VIP Hair color coupon and Hair style coupon as apology for closing a ticket, even though I didn't have any unclosed tickets. I already had a face coupon since I didn't log in for a week or so, so now I can completely remake my char if I want.

After I patched through the Game Launcher, the Launcher wouldn't open anymore, so I tried this fix -- but it told me that adding " GameLaunching" to the target made it invalid, and just plain maplestory.exe takes me to the website. ??

Did you put a space between .exe and Game?

Same for me, but what I did was remove the last part of the target and just replaced that with the fix previously mentioned and it seemed to work. It should look like "C:\Nexon\MapleStory\MapleStory.exe GameLaunching" assuming you're Nexon folder is in your C:\ drive.

Yep. It told me that was invalid.

I got your solution to work, it appears that it's case sensitive.
