What happens after 12 ee on weapons?

I saw a 15 ee Empress Cane.
I thought the max was 12 ee.
So how is this possible and what happens after 12 EE uses?
How does one obtain 15 ee on a weapon?
Does this mean we can go to 20ee and beyond?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that you can only use prots on an item with 11 or less enhances. (Making that use the 12th). That person either used 3 enhances w/o prots, or some new thing I'm not aware of. Theoridally, yes u can have 20 ees, but u can't prot them, making it huge luck, and ur item kabooms 90% of the time

I always thought these 3-star scrolls worked on items that never got enhanced, similar to the Silent Crusade's 2-star EE scroll.

You are correct, both scrolls bring the item up to X number of enhances, do not GIVE that many enhances

Isn't it just that wards only work up until 12 stars? So that 15 stars is just possible by passing 3 EE/AEEs on a 12 star item without booming it, and without using wards?

After further digging through Basil search, it seems like the
2 star / 3 star / 4 star ee scrolls are Literally the name intends - it just gives the stars, so say your item has no stars, and you use a 4 star ee, it simply makes it 4 stars

I am unsure if it actually downgrades an item. So the question still remains, does CS-Wards work with EE scrolls after 12 EE's?

Wards don't work for star 13 and above.

Dupe a 12 star, pass the 13th star, dupe said 13 star, EE, repeat.

Good to know there's still a private dupe. >_>

There's a few of the exact same Empress Claw with 13 Stars roaming around in GAZED too.
