Peridots?

I've been at blood harps for over an hour on my Thunder Breaker and not a single one has dropped. Apparently most of my alliance-mates have been getting all of theirs in 30-60 minutes, so now I'm wondering if it's glitched (perhaps similar to the only warriors seeing lunar dews glitch?) or if I'm just horribly unlucky.
Any ideas?

I did the quest on my mihile.
Got one every 30-15 minutes.

Did the quest on my cousins character.
Took me more than 1 hour to get one...
I dont really get how this works because the difference is so incredibly huge.

EDIT: This was this week by the way.

I assume it's just luck, but I can't be certain. I did my peridot quest about 2 weeks ago on my Mihile and got all 5 in less than 45 minutes. It was on double drop at the time, though.

On my dw and mihile the first 2 took awhile(30+min for one) and after that they became relativity common (no more that 5 min to get one)

I don't know if they buffed the drop rates since they cut the peridot count from 10 or not, but back when I did it on my dawn warrior more than a year ago it often took me more than an hour of trying to find even one peridot. I would believe that they might have broken it when they fixed the stained soul quest, though.
