How was your day?
Had my first lecture today, it was really interesting! though I seem to have lost my glasses, which I need to see. pomegranate.

Finished my lecture at like 1pm... went home and had some dinner and texted my Swedish friend at like 2pm. He's like "Lets hang out!", so I go over to his place.

about 5 or 6 hours later, i'm home. Seriously, why is it that the most mundane things I do with this guy is just so interesting. We basically did nothing other than sit in his kitchen while he cooked and talked, go for a walk and talked, go for some coffee and talked, then just sat in his room listening to foreign music while he messed around on facebook.

I even helped him clean up! what the hell is happening to me Sad
I'm glad to have made such an awesome friend, but my feelings are hitting me like a ton of bricks with every smile. I really need to stop spending so much alone time with him, but it just keeps on happening D:

I have a laundry list of problems. The wide majority of which will go uncovered. There is something ironic when a Disney song tells you that you're already dealing with it as best you can.

My roommate's Vogue comes but both my Vogue and GQ don't? #FRUSTRATION. Guess Conde is getting a stern call from me tomorrow.

Which is, of course, added stress to an already packed week. Do not need.

Work then school, god that middle eastern guy is SO HOT UGH. Calculus test on Wednesday and corporate is coming to evaluate my store on Friday and I'm gonna get ripped to shreds in Floral because I'm so behind but that's when I point all the fingers at those who wouldn't let me produce muthafuckas payback.

Went to an Anthropology Society social, since I knew nobody on my course and wanted to make friends. Ended up recognizing a girl who lives in the same building as me, we went out for drinks as a group, ended up going to like 3 different bars. Made a load of new friends but i'm also way drunk and have a lecture tomorrow at like 10am.

Ahhh the life of a student.

SHORT STORY FRUSTRATION. I need to give myself more time to write these, but alas this time was really just bad timing. I think the idea is neat for this piece, but I'm frustrated that my inclination when sitting down to write is always genre fiction, not literary fiction. But maybe that's my calling, which is exciting given my love for telling stories! Perhaps my true lesson in creative writing is how to incorporate literary fiction into my tales, weaving an intricate balance of both styles.

Man writing that out made me feel a lot better, but is obviously not getting this story done. Back to work!

Well, it's 6:20am.. and this is my fourth night of no sleep? Why you ask? Because as I've spent the summer in Toronto with my fiancee who I met on MS, I am now faced with something I don't think I could've prepared myself for, Meeting her parents. They spend most of the year in Hong Kong but are coming home on Oct 2nd. This wouldn't be such a big issue if she hadn't only JUST told them about me last night. Yes, a full year of not mentioning me.. I am a bit upset about it, because it does put me in quite the position.

So I look forward to more sleepless nights of stressing out ahead, and then finally I get to deal with actually meeting them, dealing with the language barrier (Mom speaks only Cantonese, and Dad only a little english) And of course deal with the fact that I am not Chinese.. and they are very traditional parents. I don't even know what to expect really ..sigh

Advice from doctor sh`it here!

Don't stress about it. I'm kind of in the same position as you (ms gf rl whathaveyou) and she just stayed at my house for about 3 months to get the feeling of what the united states is like. My parents were skeptical for a few things sufficed to say, (age difference, scotland, online) but they fell for her, fast and easy. I'm meeting her parents this summer, although I guess I'm fortunate they know about me, but if it's been going on for a year, portion of it in real life, I doubt they'll be that skeptical. Parent's are typically painfully oblivious of how online relationships function, they feel a lot better if you at least meet in real life, and if it lasts a long time. Now I'm assuming these are asian parents (no racisism intended) which means you just need to flaunt you aren't a bum. Getting no sleep over it is just gonna hurt you and most likely her in the long run.

Your girlfriend is dating you, her parents aren't, just act normal, polite, and sincere and you'll win.

Edit:

As for my day yesterday it was pretty horrible. I essentially got threatened to lose a lot of priveledges for stouting my opinion, which wasn't unreasonable mind you. Too pissed to even counter the clear retarded mountain created by a mole hill.

EditEdit: Oh wow, got an apology from said mountain creator. TODAY IS LOOKING GREAT. (pretty much the district manager of my department lol)
