Mysterious Anvil Question

Is it possible to revert the changes done by a Mysterious Anvil in the case that I want to go back to the way the item originally looked?

As far as I know, you'll only be able to revert the changes by using another item with the original appearance to anvil it back.

i have a quick anvil question while we're at it.

say i have a Czak helmet that looks like android headgear, and i use it to anvil a third item

will the third item look like a czak, or an android headgear?

I only tried this on Tespia, so I'm not sure this is still true, but the anvil'd item will take on the current appearance of the item, no matter what the item was originally

No, I am pretty sure I heard this will not work.

Uh, no, you retain both items, just one of them now looks like the other instead of itself.

Despite what the name implies, it's not actually a fusion.

Nothing gets deleted.
Read the cash shop specials notice for a description of how Anvils work. Relevant line is

Fusion Anvil does not use up the APPEARANCE item.

And obviously the FUNCTION item doesn't get deleted, it just gets a new look.

Got a quick question also.. If you want to anvil, will it not matter if your item is rare, epic, unique, or legendary? Will the stats still transfer or do they both need to be the same tier?

It doesn't matter. The stats don't transfer to the item you want it to look like, the appearance of that item is transferred to the item with the stats.

Extra extra bonus question. will an anviled equip get the other equip's effect, or vice versa? For example, would a reverse staff turned into a bain staff get the floaty effect, or the opposite, would a zak helm turned into an empress helm keep its floaty effect.

I believe so, I think people were able to anvil dojo gloves and the anviled gloves also had the effect.

Yes, it's the exact same item as it was before, it only looks different is all.
