Guild Wars 2
I've been on! I'd play even more if it would stop crashing Sad.

I really enjoy Guild Wars 2, but I haven't had much time to play, and even when I do, it's easier to hop into a quick 30-60 minute game of Dota 2 instead. I haven't really been playing much except on weekends when I have time to sit down and play for a few hours. The game's not going away any time soon, so I don't mind taking it slow.

Also, I'm hoping they fix some of the problems with melee visibility in large battles, because that was getting really annoying.

...GW2 best cooking simulator. Spent a good few hours cooking after switching from Huntsman a few days ago. ;_;

DrRusty Wrote:Edit- YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!! Flamethrower finally applies a fking burn. Now the damage is fking sweet. Finally a viable kit.
What's your setup? I considered using Flamethrower for a good while, but right now for PvE I'm running pistol/shield with grenades + Elixir B + Elixir U, full explosives/alchemy with 10 in firearms. I really like the Flamethrower skills but I find both of my elixirs invaluable so I'm not sure whether or not I should replace one.

Honestly, it's pretty stupid to run more than 1 kit since you would not be able to buff 2 kits with elixirs and you would end up with more skills than you could use.

This is the flamethrower build I use
http://www.guildhead.com/skill-calc#MzMz...0x0VokqMka

a couple things about it
-Since the 1 key is what you use more than anything else, I feel like increasing burn duration by 20% is better than reducing flamethrower CDs by 20%
-Using the rocket boots gives you another burn source
-Going into incendiary powder gives you a 3rd burn source
-Stack precision, to increase incendiary powder effectiveness, and condition damage obviously.

The grenade kit is still superior to the flamethrower in single target and AoE damage, as well as survivability. Even if the flamethrower talent gives 200 toughness, the fact that it's still in melee range makes you take much more damage than the HUGE range of the traited grenade kit. The biggest benefit to using flamethrower is that you're not completely screwed by moving targets. The grenades take a long ass time to throw and are all ground targetted.

It is very fun though =P

Have they fixed the Flamethrower kit missing a ton yet? Last time I tooled around with it, still had that "tons of misses for no reason! Hit detection? BAH!" issue. Since then I've just used it to light dark hallways in platforming puzzles.

the flamethrower seems to have a minimum range on it. If you're too close it misses

I think I'm doing pretty good with Med Kit, Bomb Kit, Grenade Kit/Flamethrower and Elixir Gun. Combo Fields are great. :B

Elixirs are great to support with, too. I just hate Elixir U. S and C are great for trolling. (*‘ω‘ *)

I've decided how I want to gear up my first end-game build. I've made (imo) the best healing build in the game. The awesome part is the damage sacrifice isn't too high since you still stack power. I've been getting as much power/toughness/healing gear as possible. The healing I can dish out is slightly ridiculous

So I just found out that the PoIs, Vistas, and Skill Points in the WvWvW Borderlands are required for 100% Map Completion. So that basically makes it impossible for me to ever get it, considering we never own some of the spots on some of the Borderlands maps.

Every 2 weeks the servers are rotated. Crappy servers verse crappy servers, while the best servers verse the best servers. So unless your server is always dead last, you have a good chance.

No, because Stormbluff (the one we're mostly on) is always Versus the best servers, which means there's never a chance that we'll be dominating and be able to reach the far-end points that only the owner of the specific Borderlands can really get to.

The worst part is that the color you are doesn't change either unless your server is ranked differently (in the global scale). So for example, if Henge is 1st, we're 2nd, and Jade Quarry is 3rd...and it stays that way...then we'll stay in the same positions. It could be months before we ever change position. This is all information I learned browsing the forums for a little bit.

It gets even worse. SBI has no night players. Night is when I play. We're ALWAYS losing HORRIBLY during the night. And by horribly, I mean we barely have anything. Henge is always controlling at least 60% of the Borderlands. It's absolutely idiotic. I have absolutely no chance of ever getting 100% World Completion unless I change servers, which you can get banned for if you change to one server then change back to the one you were on later, because people are doing that to cheat WvW so they've started banning for doing it.

Considering the amount of stupid bans that people have received so far...I wouldn't use those too much.

So my highest level character is my main again.

Goddammit if I stuck with one character, I would be level 50.

ahhhhh so broke now. I just spent 5G in the market on the runes for my exotic set (finally got all exotic pieces). Still need like 4 pieces of jewelry at 80 silver each and 2 new weapons.

My healing set is going to be all rares and my DPS set is going to be exotic/rares.

it's more like making the traits work than buffs but I'm already happy with my engi so I'm glad we didn't get nerfed Rolleyes

it's good that they're fixing necros. They're pretty buggy
