You gotta admit, that place was interesting around 2007 or so, and it was the ol' motherland for a few of us.
But the thing I really remember was their low-content subforum (I think I remember the name: lol Maplestory). I remember going there and thinking how terrible it all was.

True enough; I was around when it was one of the few places that had information during the beta phases of the English service of MapleStory. At least we can say we know who caused the destruction of the place. I'm not giving names, as that has already been done in previous posts.Would Sleepywood be missed? Maybe for those of us have been around the game for a long time. There would be some that come from the smoking remains of the woods after they were set ablaze. Lest they seek the warm embrace of the great chinchilla for their weary souls.

Wow it's been forever since I even thought about Sleepywood much less visited the site.
I remember when it used to have relevant information and I got super excited when I bought a zhelm (run) from a guild posting there. That was the highlight of my pre-BB unfunded hermit experience ^_^ I'm a little sad to see it go just for nostalgia's sake, but it was really dead. I mean really dead.

It might take a while, though. doubt basil is going to die before southperry, the sheer amount of people there that wouldn't thrive here, and thus will always remain there just wouldn't allow it. on an unrelated note, found this on google and thought it would be appropriate.

I'll kinda miss it. World forums were interesting, people back then posted a lot and it was fairly active. The lol maplestory section was pretty fun but they did something retarded with the 1,000,069th post and froze it I think. I don't know how many of you were there in 2004-2007 when it was actually decent and before the whole Southperry stuff happened, but the site was okay aside from Adura's bullsh`it.

Even though I havent used it in years I think it is sad too. Also it is one less place to find old contacts.

During the time I used Sleepywood I didn't even know about the Adura stuff but the world subforums were active, entertaining and pretty useful. It's thanks to SW that I stuck around on MS so long, and it's kind of a shame that this is probably going to delete the remaining thread archives. Some of the older ones were really fun to read. That said though it was a long time coming, and LOL Adura is such a f'ucking idiot.

Any female staff member could easily bring the forums back if they promise him nudes to continue maintaining it.

I remember how MapleTip tried to compete with SW when I was around in MT back then. So much lulz
In the end, I'll give SW credit for two things. One, for helping me get a Zhelm on my main way back then. And two, if it wasn't for Adura's stupidity, SP.net would never have come to exist. So thanks SW, but I'm not gonna miss you. lol.
