I think the time has come where we have enough of an influence to form a union. A lot of people level 77-12x buy leech. We should take advantage of this fact and form our trade union. We should come together and discuss a universal price for leeching based on location/number of hits to kill. If the customers refuse our prices, we can go on strike =P
TBH i think this is a great idea to give us power if enough Bishops/AMs participate.
Discuss.

I think that this is such a brilliant idea. How about you go on strike now, along with all the other leach selling Bishops and Archmages.

Having great ideas is easy. Putting them into practice, well thats something else.

The amount of people who read this won't compare to the amount selling leech. (Even though you did post it on several forums). And many more won't participate, like me for example. I refuse to sell leech to people. I have no problems with people leeching themselves (I do it myself) or actually partying with an ultimate spamming mage, but selling leech is crossing the line imo.
Sorry if it doesn't work out for you.

Thank you, this is my point exactly. Leeching is a good way to power level, but ultimately means that you let another person level your character while you did nothing. Leeching yourself is okay because you are training your own character. Partying a spamming mage is also acceptable if you are still making the effort to attack. Unfortunately, everyone seems to think that buying your way to level 120 is okay.
Everyone was outraged when the exp gacha came out, but leaching is much worse.

Buying leech is the same as hacking in my book. Gaining an unfair advantage over other players, either by messing around with scripts or just pating crap-loads of money.

Organizing anything for this game never works, especially if it's based on a forum.
Mainly because there are so many people who can't be assed to look it up and or make an account on said forum. And then there would be power strugles among various parties, and the whole thing would just turn into a giant pomegranate storm. Seems like a moot point to me.

The sale of leeching services has already pretty much ruined the 3rd to early 4th job community; don't promote it furthur >_>

Seriously, it's pointless to make a "Trade Union" because when you do make one, everyone will be paying for the same price, whereas if you don't have one, then those lazy 3rd jobbers will be competing against each other to buy leech from you. Thus, you'll have a better payload from the ones that want the most leech.
Also, what are you going to do about people who 1hit, 2hit, 3hit, and other places such as wolf spiders, harps, newties, skelegons, and other places a leecher might think about? Different servers too.
As it's already been mentioned in this thread, this isn't going to work because some people simply refuse, and people even OPPOSE this idea will spread shyt throughout the thread.
So, I highly suggest an administrator to close this thread.

Good Idea- Never going to happen.

I support this Naixin. We have to finish manipulating apples, MW 20, SE 20, and PACs first, though.

This would work on smaller servers if you can get a vast majority of bishops and archmages to agree, but I doubt that would happen.
Suppose it did though (ex. somewhat like Bellocan's zhelm market about a year ago, and to a certain extent even now) - prices would increase dramatically because the few leechers not in the union cannot supply the demand, and would-be leechers would have to do without or pay the increased prices.

Heh, If this were to actually work, it might even discourage potential leechers, as with all unilaterally controlled entities [aka monopolies] Prices can be set to the highest people are willing to pay, creating competition from other potential "unions" technically causing more trouble than it would actually solve.
in other words this idea would fail harder than john mcCain as president.

I have a question to all potential "customers" if this were able to work out:
If you don't wanna play your character, why are you playing your character?

To play a higher leveled character, powerful, fourth job character...not a lower leveled, weak, second job character.:f6:
-Not planning to buy leech-

Butterfli: If some ultra-godly merchanter spends 13 hours a day merchanting and doesn't have the time to train, but wants to be like lvl 140, he does have reason to play his character. Provided his mesos are legit, he is still exhanging work he did for lvls in buying leech. In speaking of that I must point out that FM scams and mind games are a hell of a lot more unethical than an AM leeching a guy in exchange for money. An AM and Bishop must pay for his pots somehow. I disagreed with leeching for a long time, but now I realize that leeching is the path to truly keep the game "free." If I sell leech for a reasonable price, I can pay for pots, and maybe convert some scrolls to MTS fodder and pay for a 2x card. Saying that's "wrong" with charging 20k nx in gach per day for pots as the only legit alternative is Nazison talking, in my opinion. I cannot be the only bishop/AM who doesn't know how to merchant, and I am sick of feeding Nexon's greed. That said, I am in "quit" mode atm so for me personally none of this matters right now.
There's a lot of factors that are put into a person buying leech. Some examples are: are you just getting that one AM/Bishop, or into a party; what lvl ultimate and amp they have; and what is the lvl difference between the leecher and the seller. A 17x 2hkoing newts is worse XP for the leecher than a 15x 2hkoing newts. This needs to be decided between the buyer and the seller. I am aware of a certain high lvl beginner who paid 100k NX a month to an extremely high-lvl group to leech him. Someone telling either the buyer or the seller not to do this would not be listened to.

These two are rather contradictory- by buying NX through any means (besides hacking, which we agree is unethical), you are "feeding Nexon's greed" because someone else had to go buy that NX with their money.

Not really. So far I haven't paid a single cent on this game, and so therefore, although I'm indirectly feeding their need for money, I'm also keeping it free for myself. Trust me, all players are indirectly taking away NX (making a NX void if you will) in some way or another. Whether they found a scroll and sell it to someone who uses it as a conversion between meso and NX, or if they bought a item to sell in MTS, or they use the MTS money to buy from the CS, ect. We're all indirectly paying Nexon. No avoiding it, unless you avoid MTS entirely, which would be a completely stupid thing to do.

I still don't see why people are saying leech is unethical. I've read a great deal of arguments against selling leech, but most of them are just blind assumptions such as "they don't know how to play their charas", or "they're not going to play anyways so why bother", or "they're just going to come back to KS you". Guess what, if you have no evidence to back up these claims, please don't say leech is unethical. (by evidence, I mean most of the leeching population does that, 51% of the leeching population or more)
Finally, again, on topic, I think this Union thing is a very fail idea for the reason that everyone built their mages differently.

How's this?
They didn't spend enough time training, and thus do not deserve to be that far up in rankings? (Not that I care about rankings, but those who do, it is a legitimate concern).
