>Media arguing constantly about their motives
>One side claiming it's our fault and the video is to blame, the other side claiming it's their fault and the video had nothing to do with it Seems like neither side really cares all that much that people died and US soil was invaded, they just want to find someone to blame. My dad is downstairs right now listening to a radio talkshow (while I have no political preference, he is a conservative, so you can guess which side they take, but at least he doesn't listen to Rush...much) and the incident is STILL all they are talking about, and I assume it will be that way for weeks. I just wish someone would start working on forming a solution instead of everyone just fighting about pomegranate that's already happened and can't be changed. They were targeting the ambassador or they would have killed a ton of people instead of only 4, so something needs to be done about it.

"Then we have the cutest order of angels, the cherubim. As we all know, a cherub is a baby angel, usually with a little bow and arrow and a leaf protecting his modesty. Except that Ezekiel 10:14 describes them as frightening four-headed monstrosities that included the faces of a man, an eagle and a lion." Wat. They only listed 3 heads, also, strategically of course. Even the link they posted with it said "Each of the cherubim had four faces: One face was that of a cherub, the second the face of a human being, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle." Immediately lost respect or faith in their legitimacy.

We still don't know all the detail, but still...it seems that something went wrong or someone didn't speak up.

The Libyan government should find the perpetrators and then proceed to confine them for life sentences. The NTC should be open to give as much information as possible to the CIA and NSA and should cooperate in performing joint operations to mete out further groups that might be present in Libya.
Anyone who takes out an RPG and fires at an embassy in reaction to a television video should have been established as madly insane by the general community or had an ulterior motive by targeting the embassy building. Both of which are sound reasons for investigation and detainment. The hundreds of violent protestors that gathered at the site should also be detained and given a psych evaluation which should result in retention in an insane asylum or punishment with jail time. There is no rationale for an embassy building to be attacked over a video.

So when someone makes a crappy movie, you go and blame it all on the COUNTRY that he happens to live in? You burn USA flags and riot on the streets burning houses? Not only that but you go and freaking KILL the ambassador that probably didn't know and care sh'it about the whole movie.
Words cannot describe how stupid these people are... It's insane. This logic is equivalent to killing the prime minister of Canada, because Justin Bieber sucks. In reality, I think there's more to this. The fact that this was done on 9/11 points towards the fact that it was carefully planned by a terrorist organization that took advantage of this protest.

I've thought for some time that extreme fanaticism of any sort is really a mental illness, and should be treated as such. Unfortunately it appears most people don't see it that way, or else are afraid to say so.

Way too much violence lately... kinda unsettling German and UK embassies in Sudan have now been attacked:

I mean whether or not this video made fun of their "god" should be irrelevant considering how this was not a hate crime but something that looks like came from monty python. I mean this was extremely low budget. Muhammed isn't God; he was a prophet. He insisted people not speak or mention him in scripture and because he did not want to be mistaken for anything more than a man who relayed the messages of Allah. In keeping with this, it is now taboo to attempt to portray him in any way. Occasionally he shows up in film and/or imagery but he is not to be given a face. He is often portrayed wearing a vale. I put god in quotation marks because I wasn't sure if it was specific to muhammed or allah. Edit: I'm also aware that it's forbidden to do all of that, I've watched family guy/southpark which both jokingly, almost, but didnt defy this. They were more offended that he was made a fool and a lot of stereotypes or black and white details were exaggerated. That's the impression I received reading all these articles.

Yet now it appears that they are doing exactly that by revering his non-image to the point of violence. Sure, you might say they are upholding what they believe in Islam as a whole, but to me, being that reverent to not showing Muhammed is no different than out right bowing before his portrait.

The volatile group that assaulted the embassy were an extreme minority that were suspected of blending in with protestors to carry out their attack. Some of the people present hadn't even seen the video. Therefore, I'm not sure what you're getting at by using the term "these people," however there are many considerations to consider before we find out whether Libya's citizens can be assumed responsible. Libya has undergone radical change with the usurp of Gaddafi and that radicalism could still fester in the minds of many groups that don't have a strong alignment towards establishing a system of order for the country.

Of course most of the people don't care or at least don't support violence, besides many people protesting seemed to be protesting against the riots. However, if we used their brainless logic that USA, Germany and Britain are responsible for the video, then with the same logic; whole damn Middle-East and all of Africa are responsible for the murder of the ambassador. That's the scale of generalization these zealots are making about the whole "western world".

If we were honestly to apply their logic we would do exactly what the Nazi's did. If you can't play nice, evolve or get over your superiority complex then we will eradicate you, and trust me, the modern world could easily make that a reality over night. What we should do is pull out, cut off their funds and say f`uck it. There's always the potential backlash of the government in those countries falling apart without our generous donations, but at that point you can't blame the western world. We tried to help, you told us to leave, we did, now you're poor, in famine and have a terrorist organization as your leader. Guess where all that "WESTERN ENEMY REBELLION" anger is going to go towards? The leader. EDIT: Also if they do end up attacking bordes of neighboring countries (china/russia/spain) than they are going to get royally f`ucked becase not only is the USA going to be your enemy, but frankly (2/3 at least) the biggest superpowers in the world. Eventually we're going to treat you like an adult country.

Say one word about Islam and you have riots in the streets and death threats to cartoon drawers. And speaking of how offended you are over this "perceived" bashing. Try being a Christian and living in the middle east, then come back and complain about how Mohammed is "insulted". EDIT: Just so you don't play the religion card, I grew up in a church that was filled to the brim of the biggest hypocrites I have ever seen. I am not a Christian, but I also don't like those who turn a blind eye to their own religion but criticize another.
