Lol he incinerated the one that raped Byakuya like it was nothing. I'm expecting a lot of this battle.

Yea I know. I found that hilarious. We spend all this time watching Byakuya get raped and then it's all over in one slash. Badass captain and awesome bankai both lost forever...

Generally Bleach is terrible, but this chapter was actually pretty good. Sucks that Yama is very likely going to be dying within a chapter or two, his bankai is incredibly cool.

I agree, but the last few chapters have been pretty fucking awesome. I don't know how Yamamoto could possibly lose this fight, but I can't see him winning it either.

Yeah, last few have been really good. Yama is almost sure to die, him winning here would undermine the point, Kubo said he wanted SS to be destroyed in this. Unless he burns SS to ashes before he wins?

I feel that him burning SS to a crisp would completely ruin the point of killing the Quincy. If SS and everyone in it is dead anyways, what's the point in fighting?

I'm sure the ultimate goal of all this is to make things get bad enough for the RG/Sq0 to appear. I mean, if they didn't deem Aizen making a key to the spirit king by killing off an entire city to be important enough to intervene, some serious pomegranate needs to go down before they get involved.

And where did they idea of there being a Zero Squad ever came from?. I cant remember a clue mentioning them ever in Bleach other than the assumption that the Spirit King would have his own squad of bodyguards.

He is Aizen, when he was the vice-captain. That's the first moment he knew of the Royal Guard, which I'm now thinking Ichigos dad is a member/former member.

Oh. Sometimes its hard to tell when things are out of context since most of the villains look like Aizen.

If I recall correctly, Ichigo was one of the few who didn't saw Aizens Bankai, making him immune to the whole "Once you saw it, you are mine".

This is Yamamoto's Bankai. It's still very debateable if he'd win with this against Aizens Shikai. Imagine what Bankai can make Aizen. Complete hypnosis is extremely overpowered as it is. Plus there would be lots of damage due to the whole sun on earth thing. Oww and his zanpaktou got sealed by Wonderweiss, I believe.

Against aizens powers, I would say that Yamamotos shikai is actually much more suitable. Shrinking your attack power down in to a small blade would be much less effective than huge area of effect attacks. IF he had known what Gin had known for sure about touching Aizens blade, that may have been another case.

There is also the likelyhood that simply releasing his bankai would have been fatal to humans. It's one thing for his bankai to cause all the water in soul society to start evaporating, but the side effects of that would be hundreds of times worse on Earth, as people don't have spiritual power, and so would feel the effects far more strongly than Shinigami, and we kinda rely on the water we have in our bodies an awful lot.

I predict that it'll be the classic "So you thought you were better than me" and he kills yamoto, or uryu will come out of nowhere and kill him in retribution or something.

Dude bleach has easily been #1 of the big 3 the past few weeks. The hype of him never releasing bankai is VASTLY surpassing what we thought he could do. 15 million degrees on top of 4 directional based techniques? Goddamn son, if he falls it's going to be to some bulls'hit for sure.

Implying bleach is still one of the big three. Obvious logical flaws aside. Thats more because of how mediocre the Naruto and One Piece chapters have been than any show of good writing by kubo.
