If you could tell Nexon one thing...
Captain Wax Wrote:There is too many places to train at the moment. The problem is that most of them suck.

on that note

INCREASE THE CRAP SPAWN MAPS SPAWN. I mean 7 monsters to a medium sized map is laughable.
Renegades Festival.
They extended it for a couple weeks. That's great! I was hoping I would get my Renegades 120 cane (purely for the look for my future one), but then I found out: they extended ONE event.
So, if you want coins, you can make a new character, level it to 90 lightning fast, and then do a bunch of dojo runs because those are the only 2 ways to get coins.
IImaplers Wrote:Nexon, recode your game in Java to make it more secure and more scalable (i.e. easily played on Mac/Linux/etc. (maybe playable on a smartphone!)).

This is almost gibberish.
Java isn't any more secure than any other language, and is a much more limited platform than code built for a native OS because it has to be interpreted and live within a virtual environment that has to be scaled properly for each instance.

Those flaws aside, I think you meant portable when you said scalable. Rewriting the server in Java wouldn't do you any good. It's the client that you play and interact with directly. The language of the server has no bearing on your experience for the most part. I think what you're really asking is for them to rewrite the client in Java or a similar portable language to make it playable on any OS, which is a very different statement.

When you give advice on an area you're not an expert in you should try to focus on the intended outcome you're advising towards, not try to tell them how to do it. IE: "Make your client more portable, secure and stable" not "rewrite in x because I think it'll make it more portable, secure and stable", because the portable secure and stable are your actual goal, not the way they achieve it.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
Thanks for ruining the game over the past couple years Nexon. I may never have quit actually playing if it weren't for you guys!
Remove Mastery Books. They add in more frustration considering that they're luck based (even more luck based with Mystery Mastery Books. Nothing but freaking Mystery Mastery Books!)
Stop only giving newly made characters event equips, I want some of these things on my old characters too.

You can still get Renegade coins from Silent Crusade.

As for me, fix the goddamn client already (Or is it Client <-> Server communication?)! You have no idea how pissed I got during the Bounty Hunter Event, because I kept DCing from trying to CC constantly. Nevertheless that spamming "movement / position changing" skills causes a lot of DCing for no reason whatsoever.
*Points to DB constantly DCing in Aswan every 4-9 minutes from spamming Assaulter and Bloody Storm*
Chair gachapon.
Make the tickets for them cheaper (~1k) or remove the bit about getting expiring chairs.
No one likes expiring chairs, especially when the odds of getting one are more likely than getting one permanent.
Fix your disconnect bugs. I shouldn't disconnect for ATTACKING.
And while I'm on the topic of attacking...

Remove the stupid 100 Attack Limit in the same spot. Another failed attempt to thwart botters that makes life horrible for regular, legitimate players. Especially if you're a Demon Slayer, Kanna, or any similar class.
Allow higher levels to be able to do Nett's pyramid. I'd really like to be able to do it on my f/p

I did mean portable, and probably should've stated that the main thing would be to recode the game (regardless of language). My spur-of-the-moment thoughts and their ineptitude. I jumbled it up quite badly. Thanks for correcting me.

You'd still need to cover why you want them to recode the game, since you're still trying to tell them how to solve their problem, instead of the problem you want them to solve.

Why? Because it seems like there's too much unnecessary code and too much loopholes, with code and with data, from what I gather. Plus I think they (GMS) rely on Korean developers to manage and fix the code. If they can recode/rework it with localized developers and DBAs, things like glitches would be minimized and (I think) problems (exploits/glitches/typos/whatever) would be fixed in a more timely manner.
Bring back Happyville during Christmas time =(
Make dodging / blocking / guarding NOT let you be affected by status effects. There's absolutely zero reason I should be stunned for 1 solid hour, without break, when trying to fight Body Guard A, simply because I have a 65% dodge rate. Where's the logic in this?

Oh, right. Nexon.

I think that'd be kind of unfair for classes with insane amounts of dodge/avoid though. Maybe have it so that you avoid status effects at half the chance you dodge/block/guard? Would still be a large boost but wouldn't be unfair.

Incidentally, BGA is stupid.

See, you're trying to give that input without actually understanding the problem and why things are the way they are.

If GMS rebuilt everything from scratch they'd no longer be compatible with KMS.
If KMS rebuilt everything from scratch no one would get updates until it finished and that's a year plus project.

Telling them to fix their specific issues is going to have far more impact than just telling them to rebuild the entire thing from the ground up. The first is a specific measureable action with defined parameters, the second is thousands of those, with endless test cases, scope creep and who knows what else.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
One more thing... REVAMP JETT and MASTERIA!
Since Big Bang, the damage formulae for swords and BWs are the same...why are BWs still slower? Make two-handed blunt weapons useful by doing one or more of the following:
  • Give Paladins a passive skill like Demon Slayers that increases the speed of equipped BWs by one level.
  • Make them the speed of equal level two-handed swords.
  • Give Paladins an incentive to use them, i.e. replacing Shield Mastery with a more general Defense Mastery that adds a parry rate for 2H-BWs at the cost of reduced defense bonuses (or maybe just reduced +%DEF and increased +%MDEF). Also make changes to Divine Shield and Guardian that also add incentives for using 2H-BWs.
