i keep seeing people be surprised at his offhand and dont understand it
sprint calculates from only main hand.
its a ridiculous feature only shared with sweeping wind, and makes the build hella easier.

It weakens his Whirlwinding, but on the other hand I suppose when you have nearly +200% crit damage from your off-hand it doesn't really matter.

whirlwind was never my main damage source when i tried the build, it was a time filler when i was able to group up 30+ mobs

Whirlwind had its damaged buffed in 1.0.4. I do more damage with whirlwind than I do with the tornados unless I have one big enemy on 3 or 4 of them. That said, the main appeal is that it gives you unit pathing and instantly breaks all destructibles, in addition to being free damage.

Whirlwind Barbs are the new standard, so every build must now match up with Barbs. <- Wishful thinking
That's assuming Blizzard is going to continue with their love for Barbs. Especially since they had such harsh treatment in the beginning of D3. But again, it's probably because Blizzard loves WW so much, seeing it's pretty much the signature move of Barbarians when one thinks of them.

I'm of the opinion that Blizzard didn't think and that things just happened to fall in favor of barbarians in terms of balance. I'm expecting flavor of the month balancing shenanigans when an expansion comes out.

Don't worry, once PvP comes out, people will bandwagon DH / Wizards, because WW Barb will fail hardcore.
Speaking of WW Barb...Alkaizer achieved world first Paragon Level 100.
So much for people saying it'd take 3-4+ weeks AT MINIMUM to reach 100.

The only reason WW is the best build is because of the move speed. In terms of killing speed other barbarian builds can compete with it, but since there are so much open space to travel through move speed is more important than kill speed for speed farming.

Seeing as how 1.05 is around the corner, I decided to get to Siegebreaker on my Demon Hunter with my Gold Find gear on, and pineapple I hate Act 3. It's not even about being undergeared, pomegranate's just stupid there. I use Evasive Fire - Covering Fire because I like the hitscan, and Winged Molok's hitboxes appear before their actual bodies and they always fucking spawn on top of you, so I waste a ton of discipline just from them existing. Apparently, non-Fast Demonic Tremor Elites out in the field can run faster than Tactical Advantage'd Vault, seeing as how I couldn't get away despite spending my entire discipline pool. The fucking meteors or whatever flying across the screen on the bridge blocked my entire vision for a half second and I died. I can't see Mortar being shot because monsters are behind walls, and I can't see the landing area because there's walls blocking those too, so I die, even after killing the uniques. Those Pestilent things that stick their hands into the ground apparently follow you even if you Vault a screen away, which looks ridiculous. etc. Also, it was probably me being unlucky, but 1/3rd of the elites had damage reflect.
tl;dr I'm bad with bad gear (but 285% Gold Find =D). qq.

Damage reflect and fast packs are the only two things that seriously wreck me on my DH in act 3. Ugh, so frustrating sometimes. They're fairly common it seems, too.

Well, trying to use 285% gold find is supposed to be hard. I can hardly sub in a few of it on my barb without having huge drops in survivability or damage.
In other news, 46% crit chance and 19k DPS on my new shocknadoshards Critical Mass wizard. He's going through Inferno Act 2 now.
Worst affixes so far are fire chains and frozen. I die really fast if I can't keep refreshing my Diamond Skin and perma-freezing stuff. I might have to use Force Armor eventually. Still, this build is way too fun, if there's at least 2 monsters I can keep them permanently frozen, even elites.

Fire chains isn't so bad as long as you're not on stacked fire chains. As for frozen, watch the area indicators on the ground (blue frost circle things) and dodge them if you think you can't survive being pummeled while frozen.

The main problem I see with Fire Chains is the mobs LOVE to sandwich you between them, thus mass damage everywhere. It doesn't help if they have "Fast" or other affixes that combo well with it

Large mobs with fast + fire chains = ouch. They LOVE making you unable to move unless you have a vaulting move to jump over them. Gets frustrating.

I like how they're just porting features over from Diablo II. They should've just made Diablo II with better graphics from the start.

Nerfing difficulty while adding features to increase difficulty on demand, fair enough.
From the POV of a Barb and CM/SC wizard I don't see the need to nerf difficulty though.

I've been doing pretty well myself as a semi-tank Demon hunter... people really need to quit bitching about getting one shotted when their gear is pomegranate -_- The difficulty isn't THAT bad. No one wants to farm for their gear.
