Today was good, even though I've just been studying chemistry for most of the day. I also discovered that I study better alone than with others, so I will now no longer feel like crap when profs say that "YOU NEED TO STUDY IN A GROUP," etc because I have no friends, haha.

Also, no response from any of the 20+ scholarships I applied to.
Seriously, how am I supposed to afford 40 grand a year (after aid).

Is it worth asking financial aid offices (obviously in a well-thought out e-mail/letter) for more aid? Or is that considered bad?
My dad looked at the numbers today and flipped shi't saying there was no way he would help pay (or be able to).
Then he asked where we should go for vacation.

I think it's possible to call the Financial Aid office toward the beginning of school and see if there's any aid available since apparently there can sometimes be some unaccepted aid lying around, though I'm not too sure about that.

Also, you got your financial aid package? Because I seriously can't think of a single university that will expect you to pay 40 grand. Maybe it was easier for me, but federal, merit, and state grants REALLY paid for the majority of my college expenses.
