That's pretty cool. Too bad the the equips still require PSoKs though... at least make them trade disabled on equip.

I was referring more to the fact that they added VIP Weapons, Alien Coins, and the occasional Nebulite Box to the VPQ bosses. But yeah, that would be nice for the Alien Fragment stuff.

Between the high level requirement and Gollux they ought to be fully tradable.

Yeah I know. Those aren't really enough of a motivator to bring people to do it though.

Yeah, the only thing VIPs really have going for them now is tradability and the fact that they give Superiors ~75-80% of the time.

Also that the VIP STR Dagger is the best available weapon for the jobless classes I play.

2 amazing discoveries:

1) Got a dream fragment from a Mysterious Legendary Vein. Incredibly rare, rarer than Master Craftsman's Cube, but not as rare as Primal Essences (of which I've got none since).


2) Uniques from RLH! Bless the RNG gods!

That really is, on its own, the most valuable ring in Maplestory. Throw in a WA scroll then hammer and scroll with PSoK, and pottable with tier 3 potentials...

Really, prime scrolls are your best bet. Also buff OP

LGR is way overrated. A set of four gollux is ridiculously cheaper, 4th tier, same slots (cracked; more for others).

Not to mention that hideous buff/animation LGR gives that can cause lag/glitches.

Hmm yah you're right. I derped there. I forgot just how much WA/MA a Superior Gollux Ring can get you. A Solid ring doesn't quite cut it yet... but is far cheaper and easier to finish it up (LGR needs the initial WA/MA scroll).

Actually, the Soul weapon effect also causes a similar lag, in that it's a hidden buff effect that refreshes once in a while or if you hit 250 soul (or something like that, I'm not sure why).

I wonder which class only needs WA/MA, and not %IgnorePDR or %Boss. The equipment setup I described above is very, very loaded in WA/MA. I can't do the math now unfortunately.

@hadriel: No class will get far without %boss. Or rather, the %boss from set effects is generally better than mix matching sets for more attack and stats. If you want to attempt something like that, Xenon is probably the best option.

Off the top of my head NW and BM have a large amount of PDR from skills.

Was getting a bit boring running over and over again. Thankfully it dropped on my first Rare boss. Looks fugly though :\

Unfortunately, the set clashes too much with Gollux and Fafnir set, and the Ring is unscrollable and unpottable. Damn. But for an unfunded person, this is a really good set, and the full set (Pendant 7%INT, Belt is rubbish) even gives me just under 3% increase in bossing DPS from my fully scrolled Solid Gollux Pendant and Belt (with good potentials and bonus potentials!).

Now I need to think about how to set up my equipment again... sigh. Fafnir mage pants are f-expensive, then I need to replace my Loveless with a Fafnir and re-scroll and pot.

I think I'll write a thread on item sets some time later.

they finally added scepters (BT) to cvellum drop table!!! I wonder if Katanas/Fans are in there too now?
