[KMS]Inkwell Diary # 72 - Night Walker skill preview
I don't know if the Korean to Japanese translation is anywhere close to right (it usually is pretty close...), but from what I can tell, it says that the Free Class system is a system where you can advance freely between the classes. However, this is only limited to the 5 Adventurer classes. You can do this by either spending game money (mesos, I guess?) or by completing certain quests.

I might not be understanding this properly, though, plus the possibility that the translation is completely off.

Huh, I wonder how that could possibly work well with this new, "Job specific system." You'd lose out on some key skills...

Thief-->Bandit-->Blade Lord-->Blade Master/Shadower.

Meso Guard, Shield Mastery, Life Drain, a better looking Shadow Partner, Shadow Meld, Advanced Dark Sight, and Shadow Shifter if you go Shadower. Never say die. Glitter

Shield mastery would be useless to a Blade Master, and a Shadower would miss out on their most essential skills- meso explosion and Midnight Carnival, thus greatly nerfing them. Wouldn't this system greatly shaft long time players also? Level 200s just sitting there... Unable to utilize it at all.

Somehow I don't think it'd be resembling that of a rebirth system...

I really hate it when they stagger releasing content like this, I can understand testing 2 classes at a time but they're inevitably going to release the new warrior/mage before all the other classes... *sigh*

5th job is cool though. I wonder what level it'll be.. should be nice to have an incentive to level beyond 200. I hope they increase the 999 AP limit though.

If it follows the pattern, it's probably going to be 150 (10-30-60-100-150) or maybe 180 (100 [4th] - 140 [Hyper] - 180 [5th]).
I'm more curious about what will happen to Hypers. Will Hypers be expanded to include 5th job skills? More passives? A fourth active at Lv. 250? Completely scrapped to replace with 5th job?
And I really hope 5th job has no more than one new active skill... because seriously, there aren't any keys left anymore.

Right now I'm just beggin they'll do this right. I would rather get 5th job in multiple parts than that they put no thought into the skills at all and it ends up horrible.

I feel like Hypers will be expanded upon for the 200 -> 250 curve, as well as the 5th job skills. Otherwise I would easily suspect 5th job skills to just completely annihilate Hyper Skills with inflated damage % and make them near obsolete.

Even if by some miracle they get it right, they'll just go and release a new class that will pineapple it all up again anyway. Then the inevitable balancing cycle will begin again.

Oh well all i hope for is that the classes i like get some fun/useful skills. Also it depends on what the advancement levels are. I won't be grinding all the way up to 250 to get skills.

Level-up events, quests, hinted preparations for Luminous and for 5th job, and so on and so forth.

Fiel had better get his shirt ready. Rolleyes

I've been speculating they do this if 5th job came out. Hypers are set up in a way that you can just add skills if they want without there being much of a penalty since SP pool is separate. I just think if they add new hypers it should be balanced. The latest hypers shouldn't automatically beat the old ones. If new hyper attacks are added it should be helpful in at least one way and not more helpful in every way.

I dont think its going to be as big as most people expect, more like a 2nd version of hypers with a few new skills.

For example:

Mercedes 5th job skills

Ishtar ring damage increased by 30% along with it having 50% chance to do a 3rd arrow which also will trigger a 3rd arrow on AFA Max level 30

Elves hate DR( no really I dont think the skill will be called that): Allowing you to remove damage reflect on 15 targets in a small aoe but you water shield will be consumed, cooldown 600 sec. DR cannot be recasted by the boss for 30 sec after this skill is used. Max level 30

In other words, small or decent upgrades but you will still be using 4th job skills the most, at least thats what I have in mind.

Everyone gets Shadow Partner and 5th job skills are "Quintuple Hurricane" type-esque skills.
That's how you break the game into submission.

I honestly wouldn't be mad if cannon barrage was upgraded to cannon hurricane, especially with buckshot.

I hope Mir turns into something like that dragon from lv170 hyper with 11th/12th growth.

For some classes, 5th job will be neat and needed. For other classes, IE Xenon, I wonder what they will pull off to make it work. These classes have EVERYTHING.

Can't wait to see what Angelic Buster's 5th Job is going to be like.

Her attacks get more pink with each advancement. It's outright stated ingame. And her 4th Job skills are pretty damn pink. How pink will her 5th Job skills be? Can they go pinker?!

I agree, 5th job should just consist of passives and buffs that help the character, rather than a whole new set of skills to put on the keyboard...

That would be amazingly anticlimactic. No thanks.
