[COLOR="#0000FF"]This post raises a pretty good point, it is kinda just a "Udyr, the Udyr" skin. If Udyr was made now he would look like this instead of having ms paint icons over his head for stance changes.

The skill floor on Udyr may be extremely low, but it comes with an extremely high skill ceiling. It takes quite a bit of practice to use Udyr to his full potential and doing so is extremely engaging and satisfying.

This is almost completely an aside but when I started playing even the skill floor on Udyr seemed high. Everyone in solo queue fed when they played him, both in my games and comments from other people about their games. (obviously not counting high elo players which was like... the range of gold+ back then)

I feel like he starts out pretty easy and basic, but to maximize his effectiveness it's a lot more than just QWE(...) forever. I mean, he's pretty easy to pick up and not be completely useless, but probably one of the hardest to actually be good at.

As far as I recall reading, they said they were only changing turret mechanics (and his ultimate slightly). Heimer needs so much more help than that.

Obviously they are only changing turrets right? Do you think they wouldnt change anything else? I highly doubt that, also everything, as he stated, is a work in progress still, and the title of a the thread is "Small update on some Heimerdinger stuff"

"Definitely. While I'm not going to talk about rockets today (as writing one of these things up does take a fair chunk of my development time), we've also retuned rockets / ultimate so Heimerdinger has some backup plans against compositions which turrets just aren't effective against."

His passive and his E could use some serious help. His ultimate is passable, but, in my opinion at least, it lacks that "ultimate" feel. Besides that, I think he's *okay*.

I don't play much LoL, and even I think he needs serious help to be as viable as a more practical champion. Flavorful wise he's pretty cool and I can understand the love for him from true Heimerdinger fans, but many AP heroes can do his main job so much better.

Err, no. He is unrivaled at his main job (pushing down towers or at the least an inevitable lane win). Most other mids that push hard simply transition better into teamfights/lategame.

Those are pretty much the issues I see with him. He can lane, but he does diddly in teamfights. He could use maybe a more teamfight deciding ability, but then we're crossing into Amumu territory and I know higher level players really hate fighting against such abilities. Lategame is a problem since I read endless complaints about his poor AP scaling in comparison to others. I'm sure there's more lategame issues with him, but I hadn't played him enough to know the finer problems.

Bought Dinger yesterday all I can say is I haven't lost in my Lane and got fed hard each game I Love Heimer

This champion's been in the works for quite some time, but so are most champions.

I'm guessing he uses one gun until it runs out of ammo/has to cool down for whatever reason and switches to the other. Each gun has its own set of spells and the ult lets him use both guns for a duration. Either that, or he's another "transform" champion. :v
