Ehm... this is awkard... but I must say I never realized Obito was meant to be Naruto's clone, trying to achieve the same things through a totally opposite method. I guess with Naruto and Sasuke's rivalry, and Obito with Kakashi, it totally went over my head.

Another excellent chapter IMO. Despite the fact Naruto is full of dramatic dialogues, the last 2 chapters have managed to actually touch me, specially this one and those Rin scenes. Too bad Madara will jump in at any moment and cut Obito's hand before he gives it to Naruto and carry the war longer by himself.

Now I know this is a beaten up horse but I have to ask, how can we really have any hope for NaruxHina if the manga screams NaruxSaku all the time?. Just the fact Rin looks almost exactly like Sakura couldn't make it more obvious. The only glimpse of hope might be Rin was totally a sweetheart to Obito while Sakura couldn't keep herself from trashing Naruto even up to this day.

That was actually some touching Talk no Jutsu.

Only redeeming part was Evil!Rin's face.

Does anyone know where I can watch the english, uncut dub of Naruto online? I was watching it on Toonami for the first time, but apparently they're going to axe it soon in favor of Shippuden.

when did Naruto learn to use genjutsu? because thats some serious mind screwing he did there.

Now Kishimoto, if you wanna keep using Rin to justify Obito's actions and turn him into a martir, at least change the freaking scene. A scene of them sitting on top of the kage's mountain, looking at the sky talking sweet to each other, its so easy to think of. If you keep spamming the same scene it wont help Obitos image.

Now something has to happen next chapter.

He was an obstacle to be overcome. He was, and in doing so he wound up doubting why he was even doing what he was doing. Sure he was still a puppet for Madara, but now that he's lost the 10-tails, what is he but another pawn in Madara's schemes? I can't see him mattering in the long run, other than as an example of power gone astray, and a block used by Naruto to grow.

So, maybe he still slightly matters, but his importance to the story as a villain, and in some ways a character, have faded IMO.

I'm sure there are many arguments that could be used to discuss that but none works best than ... HE IS MADARA.

Anyway, I can't come to a conclusion on whats gonna happen now, will Madara take the Bijuu and become sage himself or will it be Naruto.?

Because he knew he would die if he used it. He had no intention of dying to revive her.

I suppose, arguably, he may have been about to try and do just that though. I can only imagine that he was trying to revive one of Rin, Minato/Kushina or Jiriya, with any of the last 3 as a thanks/apology to naruto, because he was responsible for all three dying.

I think its more like, he thought their world was so rotten bringing her back would be more of a bad thing than a good one, otherwise he just looks like a selfish bastard.

As for his Rinne tensei, if Nagato could revive hundreds of people, I'm sure Obito could have done it too.

All the people who he revived had only been dead for hours, if that. I'm pretty sure Obito specifically said reviving Madara would kill him.

That doesn't seem to be a big deal these days though since we know all the eyes of the entire clan are holed up somewhere.

So...

Why did madara lose his eyesight (presumably because his body reverted to his state at death?) but didn't end up getting his feeble old man body back too?
