This is why, people, this is why.

I could probably come up with enough to keep it up for a day. Maybe 2.

Maybe it's my ignorance to this whole affair, but had no one stirred the pot, then proceeded to pour in all kinds of ingredients, and toss way too many chefs to stir the stew spoon, then this messy spillage of pomegranate wouldn't be all over the floor, and especially everyone's fine chef shoes, which are surely being ever-more stained.

this has happened several times before the current drama. just that google is now being a peach and not saying what's wrong.

It makes no sense, though. They are willing to spend the resources (employee time) to look at your site over and over as you make blind corrections, but can't be bothered to write up their findings so the process can be shortened?

yeah, and hence my suspicions at there being larger apes in the pen swinging bananas and fecal matter around. Plus the timing of it all just makes me picture those apes all gathering together and oogling over a calender, organizing and planning for the perfect day; getting their diets just right to amass the perfect portion sizes of dung, and "getting swoll" to be ready for the pomegranate-festival of flingery and dungery.

What providers have you tried so far Eos;?

I've looked at;
Bidvertiser, Media.net, Tribal Fusion, AdOnion, ClickBook, ValueClick, Dynamic Oxygen, Kontera, Clicksor, YesAdvertising, SiteScout
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

From what I've googled, Chitika looks okay. Same with Adversal. Are those in your queue or have you already decided they're evil™?

I was going to recommend AdZerk but they seem to be for people with monthly impressions of over 10m. Which might explain why StackExchange and Reddit use them.

AdZerk is a mess, and Adversal is on the remaining options list.

I'm curious. What is the cost per month to run the forum barebones with paying Locked? (I don't really care about forum events)

Well the donations in December were probably around $100-$150 which if it's going to last until february and has enough to stash a bit of it throughout the year, I'm going to say it's probably 50-60 bucks a month

Couldn't be that cheap, if it was that cheap I could easily give enough for us to run for an entire year and I'm not nearly as rich as you or Keith.

Use postcount for evil... let peoples' post count show up, but only if they've donated more cents than their postcount.

You got a number for how much it costs to stay afloat each month? (If disclosable)

If I had an update it'd be posted. This being the weekend answers have not been spontaneously outpouring.

For the other providers that are listed, are any of them as stingy about what content is on Southperry as Google? Trying to see (if it happens) how the rules/leniency may further change.

I must pay over $90 to Southperry to see my pount count!? So.... evil!

Nooo, reading all about this is making me an incredibly sad panda. I wouldn't ever want to see Southperry die out from something so arbitrary. While I'm not the most active users much anymore, I do love to occasionally come by and read up on drama, games, etc. I'm still good friends with a few of you guys here, and I'd hate to lose the thing that brought us together.

If it comes to it, you can certainly count me in to help keep us afloat.

If it was me, working and checking a website I'd be more frustrated over people breaking TOS than how they do it.
