KMST 1.2.460 - Xenon
anondesu9000 Wrote:> The pineapple is the point of Purge Lob when you have unlimited HYPER SKILL dancing?

Assuming Blade Dancing is the fastest 120ms, which I doubt it is:

When you hit the speed cap, Sniper is superior to Blade Dancing unless you cap. Sniper also has 30% Defense Ignore.
Bombing with speed cap is also superior to Blade Dancing.
Blitzkrieg is the only useless Fuzzy Lob Masquerade. It's ridiculously weak compared to the other skills, and its only justification is the extremely long range in comparison.

Blade Dancing looks like it's the throwaway skill for when you start capping with Fuzzy.

Am I the only one who finds Xenon pretty like Jett?

Nope, but for sure, Jett will be trash once Xenon arrives.

Seriously why do people keep comparing them? I don't see what they have in common, their skills and background (based on what we know) are nothing alike. The only similarity I see is that they can both equip pirate equipment.

Luminous was the first to have its job id with xYxx where Y>5 because Evan took the hero's slot for mage.

However luminous id was evan id +500(something like adding a full round of the 5jobs)

But now the above theory doesn't seem to hold so well with xenon being a thief but not taking the resistance thief ID.

Can anyone confirm the bonuses are AP-only and not stat gear? Because then it would be a necessity to cube for %all, and that's no fun for those with %luk already.

I feel like it would include stat gear, because of the +allstat skill bonuses, which are also not technically "AP".

Oh. Well, I just assumed since there's a bunch of videos where DBs just wreck all the bosses with their version of it. How many speed increases does Xenon need to hit the cap?

FanJingEvan Wrote:Am I the only one who finds Xenon pretty like Jett?

Yes. The only thing they have in common is being technology theme.

Pythagoras Wrote:Jett will be trash once Xenon arrives.

Not really. Jett and Dragon Warrior were trash since the pirate revamp, seeing as was never anything more than the same Corsair who suffered from having useful Corsair skills replaced with useless Brawler actives. His only value was flash jump, a link skill and being cool, which doesn't make up for the fact that, come Hyper Skills, he'll be a complete and total joke compared to actual Corsairs. Yeah...Jett was always trash, right from the start. Even if he eventually gets copypasta versions of the Corsair's Hyper Skills.

And you would be right. But when it comes to MapleStory, a lot of people get caught up on "looks." Which is part of the reason new classes also get a lot of hate in some parts of the community. It's little more than shallowness, with a general disregard for the actual abilities of a class. But then again, Maplers have been doing this kind of thing for years.

Just one. It looks like Blade Dancing is just so stupidly easy to use with such a good area of effect, mobility, and has the hits/s to back up missing that it would probably be the better skill to train with. For actual DPS, you need level 13 Blade Dancing to beat level 1 Bombing and Sniper though. Blade Dancing just scales better with skill points compared to Fuzzy. Blitzkrieg is just so ridiculously weak in comparison. If they want to keep it with that amount of attack power, they should increase the range to at least 550% or something larger than the horizontal range of Bombing. There's hardly a benefit. If anything, it's a deficit as you're keeping things at range where you can't be hit, meaning you generate fewer misses. You should at least be rewarded with a really good range instead of the same range every other class with a linear aoe gets.

So a question I have, Which stat adds the most to your range? Does the effectiveness of the boost to your range go up if you pump all three?

A build I was thinking of was pumping 260 into STR Dex and LUK, then dumping the rest into one stat, but not sure of the mechanics of this job, so not sure if that would work or not.

They are all primary stats so 1 STR = 1 DEX = 1 LUK. You need 260 of each for Multilateral V (which you could probably just get from +all stat equips) but otherwise you could pump into one stat.

You don't know that, so it's generally ill advised to talk about things you're unsure of.

I haven't seen the damage formula posted anywhere.

Unconfirmed, but likely the case. Can not immediately assume this to be the case for its damage formula.

Not true. Requires 260 AP of each. See below"

Endgame Wrote:Orange Mushroom has the details on Xenon's skills up.

So the way the Stance, Resist, and Avoid works is that there are five different passives, and they give you 10% of them for each of the stats above a certain amount, having all three stats above the amount gives 10% damage, and the description outright mentions AP instead of just having the stats.

So it looks like all three stats is the way to go. 260 in each stat for 50% Stance, 50% Resist, 50% Avoid, and 50% damage is too good to pass up.

Though I don't quite see the five passives....

the first passive is in begginer book, and then 4 more from jobs 1-through-4

Would anyone explain to me how hologram graffiti and hologram force field work? Their descriptions are too similar and vague for me to understand, sorry..

Ah so that's what he meant... I thought he meant 5 passive effects. Cheers.

A 10% Damage boost isn't worth spending the money for, honestly. All stat is more expensive that any other stat, it just doesn't seem worth it to go for all stat rather than LUK or STR or DEX for a total damage boost.
Then again, it's just me, and people who are into spending more for damage may possibly disagree.
