More importantly, it's not like these players using hacked weapons are causing you to do less damage. If you're really so concerned about your own damage that you're insecure about being beaten by people toting around old dupes, you might as well pick one up for yourself while they're cheap.
I have been trying to be as legit as possible in maple... and yes, they're cheap, but they are going to dissapear in some time(at least it's suppouse to).
You dont need the 600 att weapons to hit the damage cap, but you can sell them, dupe them, dupe more and more items, for make that possible... and again, this make the game disbalanced, and i am sure a lot of people think like this...

Tyler is not a "dev".
He's just a community volunteer, same as XgrantwallX, and lower on the food chain than Hime.
His writing as if he is privy to information even Hime never pretended to know, is getting on my nerves, tbh.

I can't actually remember seeing any official acknowledgement, though. That's not how English works.

Same lol.
I always seemed to think that hime couldn't give away info to avoid FUD. Yet Tyler seems to just say what everyone else thinks but rewords it as if it came from someone important.

Vehemently.
It's how puns work.
Anywho, I'd never seen XgrantwallX post, so I didn't know any special volunteer tag existed.
Or knew he existed for that matter.

It's how puns work. I (generally) love puns, but that one has always particularly annoyed me.

I only remember him from the old forums.
He doesn't post that often from what I've seen in my rare visits to Nexon's forums.
Though, really, that should be the warning sign about Tyler.
If someone openly communicates that much, clearly they're not affiliated with Nexon.

Being a plantain solves nothing.
Would you kindly shut your yap about it.
I said I was sorry, it was an honest mistake, and can we please just drop this whole line of discussion before one of us says something that we'd regret.
I just wanted to believe that nexon wanted to be a bit more open with their users, alright?

Kinda like asking for a line of discussion to drop while continuing that line of discussion.
Ps. While I appreciate your concern, I rarely say things I regret.

Tried to login mule today and found pw/pin changed, and reset email(an old one I sent a while back) missing from email inbox.
Logged in after reseting pw/pin and found all the characters untouched. :f6:
Didn't have much on it, just some 10 att WGs and tradeable AEEs but it's odd nonetheless that they weren't taken.

Hmm well that's disheartening to see that Nexon hasn't actually made an annoucement about the SSS and the duping... Either way, as soon as I saw this thread I traded in all my SSS. I'm really happy I didn't get screwed because of all these hackers. Time to change my password and bunker in.

Private servers used javascript for NPCs, I guess they heard something vague along those lines.
Pretty sure the actual game uses something less flexible.

Easy fix for duping: make it so trading, buying from permits/mushies, and dropping are all save points.

Pretty sure the actual game uses something less flexible. Yeah, my mistake, did a little research and it seems there is/was a private server written in Java. Point still stands though, he has no idea what he's talking about.

Just logged onto my many mules in case we do get rolled back. Come on Nexon, fund my cubing. But to be totally serious it seems like nothing is going right this year for Nexon. Can't say I'm surprised. This was a long time coming.

Yup, and I have been wondering this whole time why they don't just do that. I guess they're worried about it being used for DoS attacks, although that already happens anyway so who cares that there'd be another way? At least people could no longer dupe when the servers were crashed.

That would stop crash duping yes, but if you found a way to rollback your character without crashing, you could still dupe.
This is how the supposed crashless dupe is claimed to work, even though it uses trading, which is already a save point.

The language here is a bit blunt as I'm not referring to Southperrians as winners/ losers, but it is a highly relevant quote...
Winners find an answer to every problem.
Losers find a problem with every answer.
Basically, the saving wouldn't solve ALL the problems, but it would solve SOME problems, and suggesting it is far better than dismissing it for not being the "perfect" solution without offering an alternative.
Of course we can't do much to save MS ourselves, but it is good/ interesting to discuss what they should have done.
