Level 15 Barbarian at Act II

I beat Act I. My god! Butcher was a total bastard to defeat because he is in a way when I try to click on the Healing Fountains to heal up so I can continue fighting. I died a few times.

Bought the game because it looked frigging awesome. Started downloading it, got to the 'playable' point and thought "LETS DO THIS, DEMON HUNTER GO"...

My video card isn't supported.

And i have absolutely no clue what to do about it. I imagine i have to a buy a better one, but i have no idea what to buy, whether it's suitable for my laptop and then i don't know how to install one. When i google video cards i just see a bunch of names and reviews, and the names of video cards are so confusing, they are just a random bunch of words and letters, looking at the technical details is giving me a headache and absolutely none of it is sinking in.
I just want to play a cool game, why must i learn fucking rocket science?

Really? I didn't find him that hard, Though, I played a monk and kept using my healing spell in addition to potions and the healing fountains. Used the Templar(knight dude) mercinary as well, Wasnt too hard just kept running around.

You don't need to heal, you just need to dodge his hooks and beat him down.

I'm hoping to find a regular priced CE of the game, but in the meantime I ain't letting my free digital copy sit to waste. I'll look for you guys soon. First 3 chracters will be in this order: Barb/Monk/Demon Hunter.

I just ran into the weirdest pack of Elites. They had Vampiric Lightning Enchant, and my follower, an NPC, and occasionally I would tank all the hits and they wouldn't lose any HP at all. The base type was really fast, so I couldn't outrun them, even with Vault, snares didn't slow them down significantly either. I respeced to Hungering Arrow/Puncturing Arrow, Impale/Chemical Burn, Mark of Death/Grim Reaper, Sentry/Spitfire Turret, Companion/Ferrets, Caltrops/Jagged Spikes, with Cull the Weak, Archery, and Numbing Traps, so I could do optimal DPS, and I barely killed the last one. The first two died because they took up too much surface area to pomegranate on me and heal themselves, but the last one almost healed all the damage I dealt... Barely squeezed through. Was an interesting experience and probably the longest I ever spent fighting anything in this game so far.

Elites / Champions are easily the bane in this game lol.
Apparently said "Packs" in Inferno will totally obliterate any and everyone.

My god, Barbarian is SO MUCH FUN. CLEAVE EVERYTHING. FURY AND MORE FURY. Sadly near the end of Act 1 I needed to start using a shield to take on the onslaught of mobs. At least I'm slowly upgrading all my armor. Also, I found it amusing Fury is so easy to build, and at the same time I'm not really spamming my Fury attacks like mad. I am slowly enjoying the ability to throw a giant axe at an enemy from far away though.

Last thing, anyone here other than me heavily investing their gold into the blacksmith?

Thoughts on witch doctors:

pineapple SOUL HARVEST.
Seriously, it's obvious they had to balance around this skill because if i get 5 charges of it, WOO BOY MY DAMAGE SPIKES UP. But it's such an awkward skill and i feel my damage is really bad without it.
I mean, it's not a bad skill, i can use it for a good boost to hp and with spirit walk it's not hard to get charges, but yea. >Sad
Just feels like WDs are do dependant on that skill.

Least it's better than being 100% gear dependent, kind of like how the Barbarian is again.

But, WDs are item dependant too, without gear we die in like 1 hit and again deal no damage. :f6:

Oh wow.

If it helps, just pretend the game has no single player. There are many many games in the world that are online only. I don't get peoples complaints over this one being that way as well.

I'm starting to hate Vampyric as well. I'm a wizard but the damn things will leech from my templar or my illusions. Really hard to keep their HP down.

Yeah, I really dislike Soul Harvest as well. I think it should've been a life drain by default and that it could be runed to increase damage by a small amount.

A possible strategy is to perma-disable them. That would likely involve Frost Nova, you tanking with Crystalline, Wave of Force, Electrocute with the lightning passive, and Warp Time runed to the 80% slow, and whatever highest DPS or DPA skill you have (as in damage per arcane for arcane burner). Dismissing your templar isn't a bad idea just for that instance.

For DH, what about the stun passive that gives 3 sec stun? That might buy valuable time, assuming you can snipe.

I had never had any issues with Vampiric until this one group. From what I had seen, Thrill of the Hunt doesn't seem to have a visible notifier of when it becomes active. Solo'ed the final boss last night on Nightmare. Was really fun, but I died a bunch of times. Only took one try on Normal so I wasn't familiar with what animations were involved for him to use his OHKO on me.

Slowly working my way thru nightmare. Just downed Belial on my 3rd attempt a few hours ago. Gotten pretty good at avoiding the green explosions.
On my wizard I've grown quite attached to Disintegrate with Chaos Nexus. I didn't like the skill when i first got it at 21, but with that rune, i'm finding it a blast to work with.

Who would have thunk that Monk and Wizard were / are the most OP and broken classes in the game?

Ancient Spear is amazing, especially with the rune that shoots 3 spears out. Nothing like a giant middle finger to ranged enemies. Also, multi-shot Scoundrel is all kinds of awesome as a Barbarian follower.

Wizard being OP/Broken is expected because spellcaster, but Monk? That's a new one, and sad they had to hotfix something I'll never get to experience. Even more amazing is Blizzard was actually somehow watching the top players and making sure the world firsts are legit and not abusing any game mechanics.

Oh god barbarians are so amazing. I just finished act 2 and only 2 things came close to killing me,Belial and like 5 of those desert bugs.

Also things need to stop moving out of the way of my leap, its getting really annoying.
