Bin Laden dead? What?
OB3LISK Wrote:Wrong. Real good hearted people would feel compassion for the death of a human. Real good hearted people.

For the death of a human that is the cause of tens of thousands of deaths? Yeah... no.

Hate to pull a Glen Beck but...

You guys really think he's been in detainment? Or are you just joking. I'm as distrustful of the government as anyone, but do you honestly think they are even that competent? You guys overestimate them if you are serious, lol.

Anyway, I'm assuming they would have liked to have captured him alive, but it was more a situation of "we can't lose him, he's coming with us in a bag either alive or dead". He tried to escape, and they shot him down. We lost information (maybe; to be honest he may have been so insane that torture methods won't necessarily have worked on him), but we still gained a victory. Sure, one of his second in commands will step up to be the new leader, but contrary to popular belief, even psychos like those need an inspirational figurehead, something Bin Laden built up over the decades; it will take the new leader forever to get the underlings to truly follow him blindly like they did with Bin Laden, you know?

LOL. GG

Here comes the obama on TV spam now. Good grief. How about we bring back the guys who were actually involved in the attack and interview THEM?
Good riddance. It took close to a decade to finally eliminate him, lmao.

You guys celebrate a murder. I'm not saying it is wrong, but it's exactly what you do.
LOLROFL.
I had to take a picture of this (censored for obvious reason ofc.)

People always do stuff like this. It just means we felt no reason to care about the other person. It's bleak to think about, but humans are like that.

At least he was shot, and didn't suffer torture or something. I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who would have loved that as punishment for what he did.

A murder? We didn't just run in guns ablazing killing anyone and everyone. We wanted him alive just like with Sadam. They fired at our troops and we fired back. If youre ignorant enough to believe that we found him and decided to shoot him up just because, then wow.

We are celebrating justice.
KhainiWest Wrote:We are celebrating justice.

Justice to some is a tragedy to others. It's all about point of view, so there's no reason to actually care what anyone but yourself thinks about it.

I'm personally glad he's finally dead, considering how long it's been. I was in 3rd grade when this pomegranate started.
Saw this on Slashdot. I immediately laughed and then felt a bit guilty:

chmod +x /bin/laden

My bad - It's obvious that Osama was worth more alive than dead.

It's just that you're reacting exactly the same way Osama's followers reacted to his victory speeches when the towers came down. I'm getting a kind of "eh"-vibe.
Devil's Sunrise Wrote:A man is killed.

And the politicians will say "behold the bad guy, dead by our righteous hands." And the good hearted people will rejoice and sleep in their beds and know justice exists in this world. And the few will lord over the many. And the wars will continue. And bombs will still fall. And people will still die. And one day a McDonalds will stand where once a missile struck like lightning. And an orphan will super-size your meal for an extra dinar.

Celebrate all you want, it won't change much.

That was beautiful...

hahaha
For the record, I didn't do a back flip or throw confetti when I heard the news. But I can see why some people would. I'm not gonna be prancin' around on my high horse and tellin' people it's wrong though.

This statement is wrong in so many ways.

There's a difference between foolishness and joy. Those of us who feel that the celebration that's being held by some is overdone do not feel high and mighty. That's just our opinion.

I can't remember who said it or where I saw it, but I'm pretty sure it was from Mute. I also can't remember how it goes exactly:

We're killing people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong.

I would have been more satisfied if they had taken him into custody, because people like the radio host I heard this morning wouldn't be acting like idiots, asking people to request songs to dedicate to Osama and other crap. But, obviously out of self-defense, it didn't work out that way.
Couldn't they have waited at least one week, when I was out of school?

This event raised security in borders, which means that the border waiting time is longer which is aih;das;gfhas;hfashfdkljahdl.

The wicked witch is dead.

Just because it's your opinion doesn't mean you're not sitting on moral high ground.
I just don't believe in killing people to prove a point. Good or bad aside.

I don't think I'm better than anyone else for having this opinion. Others might.
