Attack Speed Reference
GMS.
In this very thread: http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthr...7&p=131603

-

A little bit of testing yielded 100 attacks in 102 seconds with a Speed-15 level 1 sword, which seems to contradict the hypothesis..
And 10 Air Strikes in about 36 seconds. Hm.

Though, there could be an upper limit to weapon speed number. A cap of 10 would fit these results, as well as make sense (though I don't see any reason why they'd intentionally implement an upper cap).

I was informed about a patch ago that the speed "1" was now unlockable. Was this true?

I've read it in a thread involving bucs and Infusion, stating that keeping it at level 11 now helped their own training by a lot, as opposed to Level 10 and below or simply having it just to help warriors.

Can someone explain ex. :
Power Strike/Slash Blast/Charged Blow/Normal Attack
Faster (2): 600ms (-210ms)
Slow (8): 900ms (+90ms)

So it takes 600ms/900ms all depends on what type of speed.. to use PS/SB/CB/Normal, but thats the thing in (____) D:

That's the difference between that particular speed and normal speed. Faster (2) is 210ms faster than Normal. Slow (8) is 90ms slower.

I see that this thread has been fairly busy with discovery since I last posted.

I think I can do some testing to that subject.

Xephia Wrote:I'm confused about the whole "Speed Booster doesn't stack" bit. If that were true, what makes Speed Booster useful at all? Or was he talking about a Private Server?
I'm going to assume you mean Speed Infusion with this one, because I couldn't find the phrase "doesn't stack" in my opening post.

While I am technically referring to unofficial servers, they contain the same buff data as the official servers. The client needs the proper buff bytes to apply the effect in movement, attacking, etc. If you don't provide proper buff bytes, the buff will not work as intended, if at all.

I have proof that the buff bytes that I used are correct, because it worked on slower weapon speeds. That is, I could get +4 weapon speed classes from * Booster + Speed Infusion. Speed Infusion does stack with * Booster in this way, but as of .62, will not surpass weapon speed class 2. Ever.

Good find. I'm far too lazy to have tried that. Has anything come of that yet?

Russt Wrote:Bui! -poke-

So it seems that brawler energy skills are now functional in some, er, implementations. Would it be possible for you to acquire one of these? Glitter
I prefer not to rip off other implementations. My friend has a Buccaneer that I'm positive I can borrow. Shouldn't take me terribly long to figure things out. I'm good at that.

EDIT: Added the Energy Charge-based skills. At least, as of .62. I'll work on the other half later today. Tired.

EDIT2: Tested Speed Infusion and came to the same conclusion that I did in .62. The weapon speed value has not changed and the speed is still the same for all the skills I tested. This was tested with level 20 Speed Infusion/Knuckle Booster and an assortment of weapons. The only thing I can imagine here is that they used a Normal (6) knuckle, which would give a tangible benefit over a Fast (5) with 11+ Speed Infusion. Unless there's a specific skill, I don't know.

Just realized that Fury is actually faster than Brandish and the same speed as TT/Strafe Big Grin

Except TT and Strafe aren't the same speed.

Edit: Oh well if you're talking normalized, then yes. They're all the same as any regular attack, Brandish/Blast a little slower.

Since we got new updates, can there be some testing done for those skills with lowered cooldowns, especially the Pirate skills?

If you'd like, I can put up 0ms times for all weapon speeds.

I can do some testing when it's stable.

Hey, I did some testing on Battleship Cannon with a Bucc friend, and I got different speeds than what you have. I know other people have said this before, I just wanted to second the opinion. Here are the speeds I got.

Cannon
Fast (2) - 600 (100 shots in a minute)
Fast (3) - 630 (95 shots in a minute)

Yeah, that matches what I got about a month ago:

Something I've been meaning to ask. What is up with those Seraphim weapons?

wat @ Seraphim

After testing Battleship Cannon again, you are correct. I'll update the values. Thanks.

After saying the SPM was wrong since before pirates even came out, i'm surprised it took this long for corsairs around here to have this changed. >.>

What's the speed of Heaven's Hammer? O_o

The delay total from Character.wz says that it's probably around 3330ms*(speed_number+10)/16. Might be true, and might not.

Has anyone figured out a speed on Octopus and Wrath of the Octopi yet? I need to add it to my calculator, but it seems much faster than Phoenix is. Maybe i'll just put it at 1500ms until we can get a real number. The fact that he only lasts 40 seconds at max doesn't help.

I did a little video and found it to be approximately 3000ms. That's between consecutive ACBs using a normal (6) weapon + Booster.

According to Russt's formula, 3330*(4+10)/16 = 2913 ms... so I got another 100ms delay.

I'm confused about something. During the anniversary, I had a Dark Mate and an Asura Dagger. Since Asura daggers have a speed of 4, and dark mates have 3, they should have the same speed with booster. When I did the regular attack with both, the dark mate seemed to be going faster. Anyone have an explanation for this, or was I just thinking things?

Expectancy bias? They should be the same speed.
