Bizarre Monster Book Error

It only messes up the book display, you still have 5 Pap cards in data. If you pick up a 6th nothing happens to the book.

There are conflicting reports on this. We need more people to verify it before you can claim it for sure.

my book tends to glitch about 2 times a day the order never makes sense

since the sc it hasnt glitched but hey it could happen any time and i had 5 pap cards

it was brought down to 1 got another pap card and used to 2x drop buff O.o

i looted a Eye of Time card, and nothing happened to my book o.o

Hahaha, sorry, but owned. I was screwing around in Ellin just killing the monsters and the Stone Bug dropped 4 of it's cards in a roll, and I was just like, nice trap but I think I'll pass.

What proof is there that it is just the display, and the real book is in line?

No idea, because I've had two things happen to me that prove otherwise.

1) I had 5 Pap Cards before the mess-up. When I looted a Pap Card after it went back down to 1, it successfully added it to my book.

2) I had 2 Regret Trainee Cards before it got messed up and displayed as 1 again. When I looted another, it failed to add to the book.

To me both of those things (which I've personally experienced) prove it is more than just a display error.

Well your proof is wrong and just a coincidence.

I was training at Skele's today and as evidenced by my previous posts in the post your monster book thread, I had all of the skele cards. A skele card dropped, I picked it up, and it registered as a card I don't have and gave me the exp buff. So I guess those two incidents you've run into were just bad luck.

I looted an Oblivion Guardian card a few days ago on accident. It made me so angry!

A skele card dropped, I picked it up, and it registered as a card I don't have and gave me the exp buff. So I guess those two incidents you've run into were just bad luck.

I'm confused. What are you trying to say? My point was I believe it's more than simply a display error. If it was just a display error, no matter what numbers your cards change to, the game remembers what you have and won't affect what cards you can and can't get (like picking up a Pap card if you already had 5).

Whoa I just got insanely confused. I thought you were claiming it was a display error.

I think they went into my book recently (not sure how though :f6, because most of my cards are back to normal now for some reason. I haven't been on in about 5 days, and haven't collected any new cards since it first glitched on me (which was also a one time occurrence for me since I got the two cards in one setting before logging out and haven't gotten any since) so I'm not entirely sure if they are actually doing something to fix them or what :f6:.

When I say almost back to normal, the only thing mixed up is the 1, 3, and 4 card amounts between my snowman, alishar, and king slime cards. Snowman had 1, now 3; King Slime had 4, now 1; and Alishar had 3, now 4. But other than this, it is a heck of a lot less messed up that it was before. It seems like they were just one slot away from fixing it properly... assuming they did something and it wasn't just a random thing for me...

Anyone else happen to notice something happen to their book without collecting anything recently?
