I was looking at some super old pokemon rumors/facts about pokemon as a whole and one article said how hitmonlee and hitmonchan were based on bruce lee and jackie chan respectively. Then I thought about Enter the Dragon and realized there hasnt been a fighting/dragon pokemon. Heres to seeing that come through. *raises glass*

At first I was disappointed, but now i'm not so sure.
Looking closer at it, I like how symmetrical it is now. it now has 2 eyes, and 2 "hands". It also looks like it has a shield/armour forming on it's back.

I couldn't imagine how Honedge's look would have changed, it looked like a standalone. the changes made to it make it look like it is incomplete now.

I'm thinking it's going to evolve again to look like a knight/possessed suit of armour. The eyes will move to the armours head, and it arms will be the tassles, holding on to the two blades.

Whatever happens though: yay more Ghost types!

That would be cool, but the possibility it could just evolve into a greatsword + floating shield fills my mind..

I had the same reaction, more or less. I'll be ecstatic if there's a third evolution, but I'm just glad that it kept No Guard.

It'd be funny if the third evolution was based on a shield and its ability was Wonder Guard. :p

Edit: The only thing that's really disappointing to me is its name. I liked Honedge so much better, Doublade kind of sounds lame.

Dual blades in everything now.

You know what? They should make a possessed shield pokemon then have a new thing called "fusion evolution" where if you use both in a double/triple battle, they fuse together to make a Pokemon Zord and take up 2 slots, but become much stronger. I would pay money for that.
