Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion

The inclusion of Marth and Roy in Melee is what got me playing Fire Emblem. I was curious after having played Melee for a while and picked up FE7 on a trip to EB Games where I had some extra cash.

I regret nothing.

fire emblem 7 was my first fire emblem too, and by god it was, and still is the best thing ever.

It's not anything new perse that they added characters to slightly more obscure games to the smash roster. Fire Emblem was pretty much non-existant in western territories before Melee. The reason Roy was in Melee was due to his game being recently released and they used Melee as sort of an advertisement. It was because of Melee that got people at least looking into Fire Emblem, and now look at what it is today.

Roys game wasn't even out yet in Japan when Melee launched. He was included purely as advertisement.

Top 8 of a 977 man melee tournament. Hungrybox just beat armada's young link in the most convincing fashion ever. Axe just 4 stocked silent wolf in less than 1 minute. HYPE

I absolutely agree, but as always a few extremely precious drops on the kill set ups and edgeguards against an opponent and matchup that you seriously can't do that against cost him the reset. At least he finally overcame armada for the first time ever and now people won't be doubting his top 5 status like they have for the past half year. Also the 5 gods took up the top 5 of evo lol that is epic.

"No Johns" is a smash community term, it basically means "No excuses". Reggie said it to try and make himself seem closer to the community.

Possibly at the 3DS tournament in like 8-10 days? o.o I hope it happens before the end of this year at least. I can't imagine the level of god-like PR that would be, especially if hbox somehow loses.

Also Shulk is "generic male with a sword #4" and I'd like to see a character a bit more unique than him.

All this hate and tension, can't we all just be happy to get what we get?
And if you aren't, odds are that someone will mod something and you can be happy there.

I've always wanted Lyn to show up (playable) with her Sol Katti and a bow. But that's probably not gonna happen, but I'll still be happy with the FE characters we'll get.

Wow. Just goes to show how big of a deal this game is if ubisoft is going out of their way to put effort into something as insignificant as a unique trophy model.

I guarantee rayman would generate more hype for smash than shulk would, but i have already prepared myself for shulk reveal even if i still have no idea who the hell he is. All of the evidence just points to him more than rayman, even with this daily pic in the mix.

Honestly i think the reaction videos for rayman character reveal as well as my own reaction would rival if not surpass megaman's reveal.

I'm sure most of you Smash fanboys have a Wii, so for gods sake pic up Xenoblade Chronicles.
That way you get to know who Shulk is and you also get to play the most ambitious game on the console. The game is far from perfect, but the again the console was limiting even as it was released.

99% of the time when i hear about a new character and i don't play their game i am still interested but i don't bother to learn who they are for the simple fact that learning who they are will not in any way tell me what they are going to play like in smash. Literally none of the characters in any smash game play like any of the games they represent and merely have moves or play-style based off those games or the characters personality. No amount of research would set me up with an adequate expectation, either good or bad, that is likely to remain true after their reveal.
