RED update thoughts and feedback

They forgot to use the old NPC sprites from before the alien invasion.

You don't have to leave and collect the prot or any other milestone reward to keep accumulating points. Even if you keep getting the "You've reached 100k points blahblah can't get more blahblah" spam the points you pick up will still count. I've gotten the spam for 20+ mins in evo and when I got out I could collect my prot scroll, then the 5k cube reward, then the 2 cube 10k reward, etc etc.

This isn't what happened to me. I also ignored the 100k point spam for around 20 mins, and when I exited I could claim the prot scroll but not the 5k or 10k cubes, even though I had gotten 11k more points past the 100k boundary (but less than 30k for the day).
Maybe Nexon 'fixed' this in the last maintenance.

Then allow me to come in here and say that fucking NexAm sucks. Korean Nexon is willing to give up on some income in other to help maplestory's popularity raise back, but NexAm would rather GMS root before giving up on their money grubbing strategies.

Any update on the attendance glitch? I was hoping it was just a visual thing cuz it keeps telling me to complete it but of course you get nothing when you complete it. I had it all completed from the first day as well.

I think there's other factors at work here, such as the fact that GMS has, from what I've heard, a larger proportion of hackers (KMS probably has a higher number of hackers due to a much higher player base). I would like more ways to get NX/discounts, but I don't think the decision not to add mileage is completely out of greed.

I don't think this is true. There are consequences to hacking, unlike here, and the korean morality prevents a lot of people from breaking the rules in the first place.

Isn't it just the KSSN? You have to use it to register an account, if you get banned, you cannot make another account with the same (your own) KSSN, and using someone else's KSSN is identity theft and punishable by law (i.e. going to jail or a fine or w/e, and the government is involved).

Pretty much. I don't think the identity theft thing is such a big deal, because then the entire english community that isn't korean native/citizen/whatever would be behind bars lol.

Tried checking my cards at 10:30 PM PST Monday (which is 8:30 AM Tuesday local time for me), and the UI showed me that it's Tuesday.
Since the drawing for the winning cards is at 6PM PST, which for me is already 4AM the next day (and after the reset?), I guess I would never be able to win anything unless I move my computer time.

Guess they didn't mention it in the patch notes, but the drawing starts next Monday. At least that's what I think it says for the date in the card event UI. Though, I am unsure of the computer time.

That's odd. I've been able to collect past the 100k warning after the patch. Did it during both 2x days and today.

I don't recall seeing anything about this in the patch notes, but yay, free chair!

Yeah, the trick to triggering it is that you have to log onto the Tamer first. It doesn't show up until you do.

Looting them freezes me for a few seconds, too.

Having my pets loot anything bigger than a pile of 4~5 lags me. God forbid my pet isn't on the same platform as the drops in evo, picking up that much after a wave freezes my game for a good 2~3 seconds.

Training at Hall of Honour with a looting pet sucks for this reason.. after about 30 seconds of attacking the lag is just unbearable. Too many monster cards and assorted other junk

And when I take off my pets, so many things accumulate my other laptop freezes and I can't hs myself
