I suppose they could have stuck more water in, to make the ocean path along the bottom a little less straight, but it would have achieved nothing and if/when you play it again, you'll be glad they didn't, I'm sure.

Eh, Kanto and Johto had their excuses because they were just Gameboy games.
Actually, the Johto one is cheating a bit because it doesn't show the Ruins of Alph.
"Pokemon Delta Emerald" had been trademarked by Nintendo.
Guess it's just so that nobody makes a fake of it or something. I doubt there actually will be a 3rd version of a remake, that would be silly.
Serebii mentions that they've done this in the past with "Pokemon Water Blue" and "Pokemon Grey".

Unlikely. According to the timeline, Gen 1 and 3 take place at the same time, followed by Gen 2 and 4, then 5 (B/W) and 6, with Black 2 and White 2 taking place after that.
I'm more inclined to agree with Razmos in that it's just a preventative thing, same as Purple, Orange, Crimson, WaterBlue, Grey, etc.
Totally starting with Treecko, kinda disappointed with the abilities chosen. And swampert looks a bit derpy. (more screens/a video may be needed.)
Sceptile just looks great though.
Hnggghhhh those megas. Have to agree though, Treecko's ability is... weird. something that negates ice damage would have been far, far superior.
Mega Sceptile and Mega Swampert look way better than Mega Blaziken. Watch them give Blaziken a second for now, because the fire-type favouritism must continue.
It's weird they have announced Mega Diancie so soon, considering it's not even really released yet.
The character designs of Team Aqua have totally made up my mind, i'm getting Alpha Sapphire. pineappleing PIRATES man, PIRATES. They look so styling and have some personality about them. Team Magma all have nearly the same outfit and are in the same pose.
According to Serebii, Prehistoric Pokemon is a new feature similar to Mega Evolution:
Quote:A new feature introduced in Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire is Prehistoric/Primal/Primeval Pokémon. These Pokémon seem to work in a similar manner to Mega Evolution through a process called Ancient Devolution, and sends the Pokémon back to their prehistoric state.
I'd imagine that it is like a trade-off, losing one stat and gaining another or something.
The new character designs look pretty cool. May looks better, Brendan looks worse. in my opinion. Stephen looks especially cool, but again with the pineappleing Mega Charizard? we've seen way too much of that thing recently.

Sceptile lost it's weakness to Fire. I think that now he is the best Mega starter of Gen 3.

Someone said in all of the screenshots that they were Level 100, perhaps it's just for a demo or something? Don't really see why else he'd have one. This does make me wonder if he'll be the Champion or not though...
I really like the Mega Evolutions, certainly wasn't expecting Mega Diancie. I'm glad to see the new artwork for Steven, Brendan, May, and Team Magma/Aqua, but I wanna see Birch
Also, not really surprised that Steven is after the secret for Mega Evolution, seeing as how he liked to collect rare stones in the originals.
Huh, someone on the serebii forums mentioned something I didn't even think of: Diancie is the first Kalos pokemon to get a Mega Evolution. We should probably expect more.

True I guess. it's not like anybody even uses Ice any more.
Fairy is going to be a hindrance though :/
One of the biggest questions I have is.. how soon can I breed in the main game? And hopefully mechanics from XY are retained for the Sapphire/Ruby breeding system.
