I am all in for getting rid of tyranical leaders, but Zaheer wanting people to rule themselves in chaos seems a bit... crazy?

I do wonder if this means the Red Lotus will now target the other leaders, the twins, Korra's father, Zuko's daughter, and the President instead of going directly for Korra.

That does seem to be the only way to "get korra to come to us". Pretty convenient that all of the world leaders are very close to korra in the first place. I don't see why they didn't do that to begin with. Sounds like a way better plan than "we're going to (try and fail to) capture the avatar, convince her to join us in bringing the opposite of balance to the world which is her mission in life, and then kill all her friends and family in leadership roles"

Asami needs more episodes that show how awesome she is. Please.

Did fire lord ozai even kill anyone, off screen or otherwise, in his day? Zaheer looking more villainous than the main series' villain, even if his only kill is someone that literally everyone wanted to see die.

The title for the episode of next week is titled 'The Ultimatum'. What could this mean? Zaheer suffocating the Earth Queen was explicit. I like how the show gets darker.
I definitely think we will be seeing the Red Lotus back in Book 4 and I predict the cliffhanger (if there is any) will be huge of this season's finale.

It's sad that Book 3 ends in 2 weeks.

Zaheer sounds like a Libertarian and that drives me nuts.

I don't remember it being explicitly mentioned, though it's been a while. I'm pretty sure the only killing that was actually definitively said/shown in the original series was Sozin killing all the Airbenders.

It's sad that Book 3 ends in 2 weeks.

I certainly would love a cliffhanger finale, specially if it shapes up like Book 2 Earth finale where Aang was briefly killed.

Plus his whole plan to burn the earth kingdom and create a new land for him to rule, so off screen big picture deaths were his thing, Zaheer is more specific people must be killed kind of guy.

Apparently not explicit enough to use the word "dead" or "death." I mean, what the hell is that? His who spheal about air, "There's only life...and darkness." Really? Can't say death? Come on. I just think it's so stupid when we watched her die. A suffocation doesn't get much more graphic than that. If they were truly scared about the children watching it, they shouldn't have so blatantly showed her die.

Damn that was one of the most intense action sequences ever. This episode had me on edge from start to finish.

Yeah, when he said breath, I was like "WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT TO THE GUY WHO TOOK THE BREATH OUT OF THE QUEEN!"

I am of the few who believe that Zaheer will kill Tenzin, and Jinorah and Kai will end up leading the Air Nation.
