Is there a purpose to Adventure Time....? I swear when I watch that show I lose brain cells... (Even though I bought the first 3 seasons on iTunes..)
Don't forget that SAO is based off a light novel =| and for someone like me, who read the novels before the anime came out, the anime doesn't do it justice. the novels are actually well written and the action scenes are really good. I'm surprised that the anime ended on the worst season when the next arc is probably the best one =/
But oh well, SAO is still winning by a landslide

Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way.

Phantom Bullet was not that spectacular... "My lightsaber deflects bullets, I retain my superhuman speed from Alfheim, and I have a sixth sense to predict bullet lines!"
The whole first half of the arc was awful. I'll admit the second half picked back up, but the first half...ugh.
OT: Seems like Sword Art Online is the definite winner. Well, as long as we get fun crossover content, I'll be pleased. Nice to see that Nexon America still has the capability to incorporate outside material into their game even when we're the branch consistently bleeding money.

Well seeing how other crossovers haven't gotten anything other than a few quests, nx equips and items, and such, I'm going to hope for that little spark where there might more some... exploration content.

I won't, not with the origination of the content in Japan. I don't exactly see the two sides sitting down to flesh out something more that a few items or quests that JMS was going to release anyways.

It all definitely comes down to how big is NexAm willing to go with this project. GirasolI don't see an answer to this in the thread, is this content going to be about items or anything more than that?.
It is definitely true that Adventure time has more stuff to profit from than SAO when it comes to cash items, but if we can expect anything more than that my vote would be SAO out of the two. a whole new party-play area like the dungeon in 74th floor+ a hard boss like The Gleam eyes would definitely be awesome. I just don't see what other purpose could it have bringing AT into MS other than CS items. People try to justify it with the mushroom wars argument pretending its deep but in the end the story in the regular episodes flows as any other cartoon.
If a popular american cartoon is what you want, why not another show like Sapta suggested, there's plenty to pick going from Avatar, Ben10 (ugh -.-), Ninja turtles, looney toons, Samuray Jack, powerpuff girls, mother fucking Teen Titans... and I'm sure you can think of much more.

The guy wrote the thing when he was 16 and suffered from chuuni syndrome. The reason that SAO is popular is for the same reasons that shows like Naruto or Bleach are popular. Light Novels are anything but well-written (with a few minor exceptions like Spice and Wolf). For the most part, think of them as manga-artist wannabes who can't draw.

I don't know why but it feels to me like SAO is just like enrique peña nieto (ya know he's bad and anyone who voted for him should feel bad and in the end won) but still my vote goes for adventure time only because i want some western stuff to our side of the server.

I've watched a total of 4-5 episodes of Adventure time, and one thing I will give it credit for is the creativity/imagination behind it.

...Almost every anime is, this doesn't give it points or anything. From my understanding it's only 25 chapters? I'll suck it up and watch all of it today along with read it to use actual story examples. FMA is better in pretty much every aspect, I just don't see how anyone can compare a show that's entirety has not only been done before, but recently and with little to no differences. Guess my standards are too high with gold like one piece out there =|

If SAO wins, they could do a lot of cool stuff.
1. Give a skill called Nerd Wish Fulfillment to everyone. With this skill, you attract all members of the opposite sex, even if it makes no sense and would never happen in rea life.
2. Free marriage coupons so that everyone can marry their relatives.
3. A quest line where nothing makes much sense and there are plot holes everywhere. To make it even more authentic, Nexon could hire a random 12 year-old to write it for them.
4. An equipable sword called "Sword of Mary Sue". With it equipped, you do max damage, take no damage, and defy any logic. In case you are somehow on the brink of death despite this, you pull another sword out of your ass and defeat the enemy.
5. You can pretend an NPC is your daughter.

It would be really nice for Hard Mode Magnus.

They can take it a step further and override all actions done my GMs as well. Want to ban them? Too bad, they have INSURMOUNTABLE, EXTREME WILLPOWER! Sorry Girasol, you no longer have the power.

I think you two already have the 'Try Really Hard' skill.
