I'm gonna have to dispute some points there. Rangers aren't that single-target oriented. Windmill can hit multiple targets, as can Air Raid which stems from it, or Mach Kick, if one has Triple Clutch. Headshot, often considered to be a single-target move, has an incredibly high piercing rate, often allowing one to hit even three enemies with very high damage. We actually have not that many super armor moves; only three, and they're not very helpful. One is JackSpike, which benefits greatly from SuperArmor, but in PvP, is horrible if you fail to connect with anything in the small hitbox in front of you--you become open for a counter-attack easily. Revenger is also a move that isn't that great, but SuperArmor is what makes it what it is. Once you're hit, you can activate it for SuperArmor, and then allow a brief moment of possible escape, but the point is to not get hit in the first place by enemies, so Revenger would be just a little icing on top of Ranger skills. We're actually very linear because of the cap at level 40. If the cap was higher, we would be able to get more Air Raid, thus increasing the Y-axis moving capability of Windmill. I'll be honest--we have almost no Z-axis moves other than Gatling Gun. Just my two cents Mas, nothing against you. Tongue

Maybe we should talk about x, y, and z's in the Cartesian coordinate system. >_>

You'd be surprised. I've seen rangers pulling down Witches and myself while well above them (directly) with...headshot? Anyways, while you have mob control, to a degree, you have to be right in the mob to use it well, meaning you're open to a lot of damage. Launchers hit a large number of targets quickly, immobilizing some (or at least reducing movements), and can combo a mob into oblivion between Steyr, Gatling, Flamethrower, Fire Pillar (moving flamethrower), FM-92 Stinger, (Charged) Laser Rifle, Cannon Ball, Quantum Bomb (you get the idea). Every attack we have is a long ranged multi-target attack that can either be charged for massive damage or held/tapped for continual damage. Even our default attack hits a wide range vice a narrow bullet path.

Do Rangers have some mob control? Yes. Are they mob oriented? No, not at all. Proof of concept: Go fight Great He'etako in 1st spine. Are you able to completely prevent any summons from ever even being visible simply from your normal attack routine on the boss? If not, you are not mob oriented.

Reverse concept: Do Launchers have 1v1 control? Yes. We have BBQ, Jack Spike, Windmill, Rising Shot. Does that mean we are 1v1 oriented? No. Without a build whose sole purpose is one really flashy combo (that ultimately wastes mana and accomplishes very little), the most we can do is a hit-and-run BBQ+Steyr+Flamethrower/Cannon Ball/Stinger and then bombard the x axis with attacks until we can BBQ again. I agree, Monks require a lot of button use. Weapon Masters also get a lot of combos.
I'm stuck inbetween choosing witch or battlemage for my lvl 15 mage. Both seem really fun to play. Anyone have experience with either?

What's the animation on that skill?

And not trying to start an argument here, but Rangers actually become a hybrid-mobber in our 40's with Death Hawk. Tongue But yeah, you're right in your pionts about Rangers not being full out mobbers; we excel at 1-to-1, and fare decently in mobbing, while it's the other way around for Launchers. (Mas, why are you always so interesting to talk to? :< )
Holy f'uck this is the best online game I've ever played.
Hmmm...There seem to be a nerf on your exp and drop rate for doing dungeons a few level higher than your current level.

I got into a chamber of blood kings party with my last fatigue left, and at the end everyone got items from reward, both top and bottom, with the exception of me got nothing. And the exp I got was only 35k. I could solo outer wall kings for 60k+ exp and this way harder dungeon only gave me 35k...

Forgot to ask how much exp other party members got..but I think it shouldn't be this low

Didn't exceed the noob-o-meter btw
You sure you didn't just look at the number you saw on the results screen? In full parties, this number is usually less than 50% of the total exp for clearing the dungeon.

Also, I believe how much exp you get depends heavily on how much effort you contribute to the party.
The statistics screen only showed like 12k, and some plus from being partied, but it's bugged so it didn't show the total. And the thing in my chat box said 35xxx, which I believe is the actual exp I got.

So everyone gets different exp at the end? WAHHHHHHH????????????

And I would say I contributed alot, if not more than any others, due to the nature of launcher skills, and others being melee.

Well, I don't know all that for a fact, but the computer script begs to differ.

But of course people get different exp at the end. I only get 20k exp clearing the Silver Night King's dungeon for the daily quest. (the quest itself only gives 80k) I clearly remember getting way more than 20k when that dungeon was level-appropriate for me.
It's documented somewhere that doing dungeons too low OR too high for you reduces experience. I think it might be one of the opening screens?

I spent 60 SP on Steyr today. It was well worth it. It's not as good as crossmore in close quarters because it only kb's one enemy, but it has huge range, which makes it very useful against the Ridge bosses and that mob of elite Bantu warriors. I can rotate between grenades, crossmore, and steyr with little downtime to control a mob. The downside is that I had to move my last bullet buff, blazing bullet, off the hotkeys.
I use key commands for buffs because chances are if you really needed to hotkey them, you're either calling it really close or you're doing it wrong. Or you just prefer it that way. But mostly you shouldn't be buffing in the middle of danger.

Bullet buffs last for a whopping 10 bullets. I use a bowgun. I do indeed need to cast them in battle sometimes.

Rawr, time for me to stop skiping everything..

And yeah recently I started using commands for buff, due to the obvious reason, it's nothing hard, just need to get used to it, and a little memorize if you have multiple buffs.
lvl 39, 99.80%. DAM U ALL TO HELLZ!!

I'm so excited to see what my lvl 40 skill looks like xD
Early grats! Lightning dance is beast! comboed with muscle shift it's a 1hko for most people!

Btw is 33(0%)to 40 in a week doable? Using up all fatigues everyday(and make use of the last/few fatigue to do a full run), doing all the daily quests, plus quests.

If not how long would it take?

Expect 2-3 days per level past 33.
Holy crap Mas, what's that attack in your sig? Is that what a fully charged laser rifle looks like? If so, DO WANT!

Yes, that is Charged Laser Rifle. Against enemies, it does roughly 2300-3000 depending on if it's buffed or not. Double damage on undead or other Light-weak enemies, including an impressive 7100 that I noted in one situation where it crit'd while buffed with Eagle Eye.
