The Chad/Lizor scene hasn't reached its peak yet. He did just stand there. lol Though, everything happened pretty fast. It caught him off-guard more than anything. He didn't really have any other option, besides, unless he was to get behind the crate too and force Lizor at gunpoint. He needs Lizor, so he can't actually shoot. It's tricky.

Is there a way I could make the scene less awkward? I needed the role reversal; I couldn't have Lizor get taken out of there. But like I said, that scene isn't over yet. Chad's craftier than this.

Too tired to write another tonight. I'm done with class around 10:45 AM (CDT). I'll write right when I get back. Mom's coming to visit, and we're gonna grab lunch, but I can probably finish before that. Otherwise, I should be done early afternoon at the latest. Tue/Thur are great because I only have that one morning class.

Little surprised at the decision. I thought I made this one a bit tougher, especially since you guys usually don't like to take the head-on, riskier one. I guess we'll find out if it was a good idea...

"What the hell? She'll kill us!"

There is no where to run, Felix. You two can't possibly get Melanie out of the fire escape while she's unconscious.

"Sh'it... We need to at least call the police."

No, it won't solve anything. They would not be able to get here fast enough, especially in this weather.

"Dammit, fine. How do we get rid of her?"

Work with Roberta and get the upper hand on Selest. Surprise her. Set a trap.

"I do not like this..."

"Roberta, we have nowhere to run or hide. We need to deal with her. Now," Felix says. She's already thinking one step ahead of him, though. She comes out of the kitchen holding a large knife. The sight of it in her hands causes his mind to jump back to the incident with Chad and Stan. "Roberta there has to be another way..." he says. Selest bangs louder and louder on the door. "We don't have time! I'm not gonna kill her!" Roberta says. Felix moves Melanie behind the couch, so that she isn't in direct line with the front door. He rushes over to where Roberta is waiting. "What's your plan?" he asks. "I have no idea! I'll open the door, and you take her down when she comes in!" she says. Felix stares at her in disbelief. "That's really our plan?" he says. Selest starts kicking on the door and the noise explodes through the whole apartment building. "Gah! No time to think of anything else. I have to answer it!" he shouts. They get into position on opposite sides of the door. Just as Felix is about to open it, there's a burst of commotion outside in the hall.

"HOLY SH'IT SHE HAS A GUN!"
"Call the police! Ahhhh!"
"Will you SHUT THE HELL U- JESUS CHRIST!"
"What's going on out here?"
"A GUN? GUN!"
"GO BACK IN YOUR ROOMS! THIS DOESN'T CONCERN YOU!"

"Whoa, hang on Felix. Don't open it just yet. The other residents might take care of this for us," Roberta says. "Ugh... I'm sorry, but I have to!" he says. He grabs the handle and slowly opens the door, expecting the worst. A gunshot echoes through the hall, but it wasn't fired at Felix. No one comes rushing in. He peaks outside and sees a man lying on the ground with a pool of blood growing under him. Selest is on the ground next to him, her gun not far away. Felix, acting purely on adrenaline, rushes towards her to try and get the gun. Selest struggles to regain her senses after being tackled by the man. He runs past her, pushes her into the wall and grabs the gun. "GUH!" she screams, before falling back to the floor. "No more, Selest," he says. "You don't understand! I'm the only one they can rely on! I HAVE TO MAKE DADDY PROUD!" she yells, slipping deeper into insanity. She jumps up and launches herself towards Felix. He sees her coming at him in slow motion, everything freezes for a second and the horrible image of Stan lying on the ground flashes before his eyes. He's terrified of losing himself like he did before. His finger pushes against the trigger. He doesn't want to kill anyone else...

Look at her, she's falling apart. She's desperate! Maybe you can save her! You don't have to kill her!

Kill her! Shoot! Defend yourself! She's a lunatic! She's in league with your mother! DO IT!

Which voices are speaking more strongly to Felix?

 Read me before deciding!

Trying something else new. Short entry, as well. Bringing the dark voices in a little more, especially during times of heavy emotional strain (like this). Basically, you get to decide which voices you are for this decision. Both choices have their pros and cons.

1) Keep his true voices in strength, but risk fighting with Selest and getting hurt. Nothing good may even come from restraining her (or she may end up escaping altogether), but that depends on whether you believe Selest is truly insane or just really messed up and conflicted due to Rose and Oscar.

2) Shooting her guarantees you will not be hurt, and no one will blame you because it's in self-defense (plus many witnesses). It will also guarantee Selest doesn't hurt anyone else. However, you risk giving the dark voices more ground (like when he killed Stan).

Though Selest is a piece of pomegranate and all that noise, the dark voices must not regain control of dear Felix! Felix is better than that.

She won't be able to get very far with these other people around. She just lost her father, of course she's going to be upset and emotionally unstable.

All she ever did was lie to you. She wants you to feel sorry for her right now and will use that opportunity to get the upper hand. Kill her! End this madness now!

could just use the knife and immobilize her. slash at her arms to draw her attention away, then stab/slice her knees. best of both worlds; gets to save her, but still act on the evil impulses. =D

Evil voices are eveil. Don't you remember back in entry I forgot when Kyle told us Felix's dark voices were what made him push everyone away and go cold, so we CANNOT let that happen. Though I do like Tobias' solution.

True: Felix could over power her if nobody had the gun, and if he still has the gun, he could pistol whip her while she's still in mid-air. Incapacitate her while keeping her alive.

Dark: Forget keeping the psychopath alive! She's unstable and trying to kill you! She can't live anymore! Keep yourself alive! KILL HER!
