Serebii confirmed that animation was Kyogre and Groudon's abilities activating, it was a battle scene. Those are some awesome animations just for abilities.

Also pretty interesting how Kyogre was submerged under water in battle like a swimming pokemon would be, rather than floating above it.

A little underwhelming to say the least.

Seeing one of the best series of the games come to life in 3d like that has me so excited!

Short but sweet

Transformed Dheinsea stats:
HP:100 Str:50 Mag: 26 Skill 36: Spd:30 Luk:30 Def : 50 Res 46, Can negate enemies chances to attack and recovers 30hp(=to his luck) per turn with Mantle and has a skill that raises def/res by 5. Also has formshift like all royal laguz so he's constantly transformed.

FE7 Dragon normal mode stats:
HP: 120 str/mag:17 skill:25 spd:15 luck:24 def:20 res:30
WEapon: Flametounge Ignores defense, Str +10, Skl +10, Def +20, Res +10

Dheginsea would pomegranate all over the FE7 dragon in his sleep, even with flametounges bonuses.

hp 100 / str 50 / skill 36 / spd 30 / luk 30 / def 55
hp 120 / str 27 / skill 35 / spd 15 / luk 24 / def 40

assumming 100% accuracy (which works for the dragon actually, since dheginsea should have more avoid although the fire dragon has 100% hit on his weapon) dheginsea would lose 27 hp per turn, while the fire dragon loses 20. the only reason why the fire dragon would lose would be because of abilities, which weren't even in that game.

if the fire dragon had skills (heck, that +5 def from dheginsea would be enough) it would absolutely destroy him...


...and this is where i remembered dheginsea had a 22 attack black breath, so yea, dheginsea would win normally. but i have an ace under the sleeve...

meaning the fire dragon can fire potshots at him from range 3 and dheginsea will do nothing about it, so it'd be an endless fight until the fire dragon got the 3 crits in a row required to KO dheginsea

so yeah... not quite what i had in mind but fire dragon wins. if they both had abilities and whatnot it'd surely be a more interesting fight though.

edit: oh, the fire dragon actually deals 37 damage, but according to the wiki he's not supposed to move, although i do remember him moving when i fought against him, hrrrrrmmmmm.

so if the fight's at range 2 dhegi wins, range 3 red dragon wins, movement allowed dhegi wins , and who knows what would happen if the fire dragon had skils

Even if you ignore that dheginsea has healing skills, the fire dragon gets doubled by dheginsea with his 72-40=32*2 att per turn. So the dragon dies in 2 turns at most anyway. And if you're taking away skills, you should probably take away the fire dragons ignore defense skill (because that's part of luna in Ikes games), so he deals a grand total of zero damage to Dheginsea anyway.

ike had a third job and everything though and that's why everything in that game's grossly overpowered, and well i didn't take away the ignore def skill because that's part of the very attack, the same way the +10 str and whatnot are. but yea i concur, although i did mention them both not moving in my post

They won't be. That was almost certainly from the mid-later game section where team aqua/magma manage to release groudon/kyogre and force the weather effects on the world.

There's absolutely 0 chance that was in battle.

If they allowed transport to Kanto/Johto in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire from Hoenn I would be so happy. That's why I loved HG/SS. It had so much more to explore.

Such a drought for information (and overall hype) as of late. Here's to hoping we'll get a little more insight from when E3 hits.
