That episode was awesome due to Iroh and Wan Shi Tong(even though he is a bad guy this time, I always liked him, his library, and his wolves)....but horrible because Korra's fu'cking retarded. Seriously, I do not think it is possible to be more retarded.
Fun Fact, but also Spoiler
I noticed that Wan Shi Tong appears in Season 2, Episode 10 of both The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.
This episode got me so frustrated. You'd think that the avatar would have more spiritual influence(what im calling it) than a little piece of pomegranate airbender. Also how didn't the super awesome looking airbird get turned dark by the Unalaak's spiritual influence. Also hate Unalaak so fucking much. I was happy to see chinese in the book Jinora opened lol. 時間之樹 and the first page( i took a picture of it on my phone but it's dead now so i can't capy pazt. I hate having to wait a whole week. I'm kind of scared that during the spiritual convergence, Vaatu takes over Unalaak's body and then Korra kills him and then they are bound to be reincarnated. I read the summaries of the next episodes and it really scares me. If Korra manages to pineapple up big time like that She'll probably go done as the dumbest Avatar ever. Korra was already dumb as pineapple. Also I think that when the second portal was opened the dark spiritual influence became stronger. When there was the first spiritual convergence there was one portal that had a dark color and one that had a light color. I could write a whole lot about this but I wont. Last thing I want to say is that I was so pissed with Korra being unable to bend in the spirit world. Maybe It was said before in the first avatar series but I don't remember it clearly so yea.
That bird made no sense at all to me... But I liked this episode.
The first 10 minutes were pretty awesome especially when Iroh suddenly showed up I was like AWWW YISSSSS.
The radio box thing was kinda funny.
And baby korra looked cute as F'UCK.
Still got no clue on what happened with Jinora.
And I bet this will lead to an evil avatar vs good avatar thing.
Oh and also;
Spoiler
I was like;
Edit:
It seems that we'll be getting 1 hour episodes the next 2 weeks!
All I can think of that can save the mess korra has made is (that after some awesome fight episodes and she manages to get vaatu out of unalaq) for her to take vaatu inside her, safest place I can think of since she can't destroy vaatu without making an even bigger mess and then from now on the avatar has to manage both spirits inside of him/her.
If she can't manage to do it the worse that can happen is what 李船長 said, kill them while they are still one and good luck getting vaatu out of the next dark avatar.
My only issue that I think about with a "Dark Avatar" is just the fact that Vaatu would be reincarnated. Period. He would not have all four elements to bend. Raava was the one who collected the other elements from the Lion Turtles and she is the one holding onto all four at once. As far as we know, Vaatu has not collected any from the Lion Turtles. That's my only drawback about the whole thing.

I know it doesn't make sense but I bet they'll do something so he can get them, that or what I told my brother, what if he ends up in the body of a earth/fire/air bender once he reincarnates, more than likely he would still have water plus the new element so all he would need to to reincarnate 3 times and he would have all the powers.
I'm pretty sure the only reason Ravah had to carry the elements for Wan was because the lion turtles felt that he wouldn't be able to handle all the power at once, not because Ravah HAD to give it to him or anything like that. At least, that's how I interpreted it.
That being said, I don't think a Dark Avatar concept is viable, at least not without being full of bullsh'it. The Lion Turtles are not in the Spirit World at all, and we've only ever seen one in the present. One that definitely wouldn't be willing to give Vaatu/Unalaq the other bending powers. The only reason they gave them to Wan was because of Ravah, so a Dark Avatar wouldn't really work unless he just had all the bending powers for no reason (IE: full of bullsh'it).
That also being said, if they were to do it, the only thing that argues against Felicitate's problem with the concept is the fundamental weakness of the Avatar State. If the Avatar dies in the Avatar State, the Avatar ceases to exist. The same would obviously be true for a Dark Avatar. As such, if they were to do such a plot, they could easily end it with an Avatar State battle. Considering Unalaq would be the first Dark Avatar, and Korra has 10,000+ years of Avatars behind her in her Avatar State, it really wouldn't be fair to Unalaq. Of course, they would make it that way because that's what all shows do, but in reality Korra would kick his ass because the Avatar State is the collection of ALL the Avatar's past lives combined into one.
I'll be honest. If they DO do something like that, I would enjoy it simply because it would be very reminiscent of the Series Finale of The Last Airbender, which was abso-fu'cking-lutely amazing. Although they haven't really built enough side characters and plots for it to be as good. The best part about the finale was that EVERYTHING was awesome. Every single part. Toph, Sokka, Aang, Katara, Zuko, EVERYONE had amazing plotlines for the finale that just worked so well, something that really couldn't happen at the moment.
Chances are high that the finale of the season will be a massive cliffhanger, because this time they know they have more episodes to go (unlike Book 1), and as a result everyone will be in bad situations that suck. Much like the end of Season 2 in The Last Airbender, where you think that the Avatar State is gone, the Avatar Cycle is broken, and the Fire Nation has won the war. I hate cliffhangers.
In regards to a possible "Dark Avatar" not having all 4 bending powers, It may be possible with Vaatu's power to steal the bending powers from others. I mean it's pure speculation, but if you think about it, Vaatu IS basically darkness/disorder/chaos itself.
If the writers DO go in that direction (which I think they will, the Light vs Dark theme is just too obvious, and the villains Korra is facing are not particularly THAT threatening) then they could easily make the idea work, and as Polantaris said, if they wanted to end the battle with the Dark Avatar after a few reincarnations they could easily do that.
Honestly I liked the latest episode f'cking Iroh appeared out of no where and we got a lot of progression. I was just pissed at that owl spirit Wan Shi Tong it was so random of him to switch sides. If anything I thought he'd try to kill Unalaq and peck out his organs, but it seems Unalaq has a magical ability to control spirits. That guy is seriously op when it comes to being able to tame and change souls. >_>

I have another question though. what if.. korra loses the spiritual convergence. Does she get stuck in the tree for 5000 years or does Raava come leave her body? Also for Raava and Wan to become one, they had to touch the portal when it started right? That's what created the first avatar. Also Raava and Wan merging before that happened put a strain on Wan's body. I really hope the writers troll and just like troll Unalaak into being killed when he tries to merge with Vaatu. Vaatu doesn't seem very fusion friendly. So much things to think about.... I want to see the preview for next week's one hour episode but I can't find it...

Spoiler
Won Shi Tong's side switch is not that random. What happened the last time he dealt with anyone related to the Avatar? They broke his rules, stole knowledge, and also gave him useless knowledge. Jinora is directly related to Avatar Aang, it's not a mystery at all that he wouldn't be happy to see her. He also said that Unalaq had proven himself a bigger ally to the spirits than the Avatar, which means Unalaq most likely gave useful knowledge to Won Shi Tong, and probably helped him with something or two.
Won Shi Tong wasn't exactly an ally in the original series either.
I can't really understand why everyone was so surprised to see the Professor's skeleton in the library like that. In one of the first episodes of the series, Aang finds the skeleton of his mentor, Monk Gyatso, alongside many other skeletons of Airbenders. I was more surprised there was even a reference to the Professor, rather than the whole skeleton thing.

Have you ever even seen the Avatar series?

I was surprised mostly because it's a character we got to bond with, a character we met, got to know, etc. Gyatso had less of an effect on me because you don't really care very much for him until later.
