This was before Demon Slayer was "betrayed". (Are we ever going to get the details on what the hell actually happened with Daimen?)
Among all of the mirror world tunes, this is simply the best one.
Now let me ask, is it seriously just me the one that thinks Monster park should be closed and in favor of developing Mirror World?. Right now they are basically the same thing with different monsters.
What...? Mir has moving hitboxes. Everything clearly comes from him. How does evan as a character not work?
Actually there's a huge difference. Switching mode is a terrible system for "real time" combat. Xenon's mode changing changes the skills utility between multiple skills. Alpha and beta switching is an entirely different skill set at the push of a 3 sec cooldown button.
The least I was expecting was to have both characters out all the time just like the pic below. The character selection screen really throw me off on this.
Yes nexon did factor in the point of origin of spells, but it just boils down to being another normal magician am I right? That is why I said evan was more of a marketing gimmick because the only thing unique was that the point of origin is a few pixel infront of your character instead of where your character is standing. It doesn't really serve to do anything. Kanna and her fox imo is a better demonstration of how evan and mir should be.
As for xenon, I am just commenting on how it works fundamentally. Both share the same idea of "press a button and have access to some other skills instead of the ones you have currently" In fact if nexon pair-up zero attacking skills, it would save players alot of keyboard spaces. ie zero only has 2set instead of 3 compared to xenon. So hitting the "tag-swtich" button means instant switch(rather then having to input an additional directional button in xenon case due to 3set)
Just for example sake. If moon strike-shadow strike is paired up and you assign keyslot C for it and tag to RCtrl, and those 2 skills can be chain indefinitely, then a player could simply hit C,RCtrl,C,RCtrl,C,RCtrl,C as opposed to hitting C,RCtrl,V,RCtrl,C,RCtrl,V
Right now lots of video shows players sticking to one character seems to suggest that skills assignment to keyboard is a problem for zero players, not withstanding how sticking to either alpha or beta is better dps wise too.
byakugan Wrote:They definitely didn't sell Zero as 2 chars which you play separately. And if they indeed intent for players to use them separately Zero would be a failure of a job. It would merely be Luminous 2.0, with a character sprite that switched from male to female instead of a hovering orb and with twice the skills, a lot cloned within its own jobs.
Sadly players are motivated by damage and damage only, especially during boss run. There is no way to perfectly balance unless it is fully identical. So in the end players will always figure out what is the best distribution when given a choice, with or without constraints.
I mean just take a look at how aran/DS adapt their boss playstyle as nexon changes how their resource points are being used. If tempest dmg is better then saving your combo count, aran will just spam it. If combo count give better dps, then tempest is hardly being used.
In the end, zero will end up being played like WHY old i/l will throw in GC in between CL spam. Switch in is only necessary when it increases your dps.

Spoiler
Right now I'm level 115 on my Zero in the test server. There is a lot of dialogue and there's more to come.
In my opinion it is a slow character to raise and leveling is different. As a Zero you cannot just grind your way to level 200 right off the bat. Why not? Because you cannot earn EXP from the Maple World mobs.
Unless you have a specific chapter or part of a chapter completed in Zero's story.
Earlier I wanted to level insanely fast just by going to Monster Park Extreme but I noticed I didn't get any EXP. A message in the chat box told me to complete part 8 of a chapter if I wanted to earn EXP from these mobs.
There are a lot story quests and the last quest ends at Lv. 180. You're not not necessarily stuck in Mirror World since you can go to Maple World anytime you want, but if you want EXP from Maple World mobs, you are forced to complete the quests whether you like it or not.
Luckily there are special dungeons in Mirror World. There is a death count limit in these dungeons meaning you can only die a few amount of times. There is no EXP penalty upon death in these dungeons.
Monsters drop these big Carnival-like potions. As a Zero, you can invite friends to join with you in the dungeon or invite random people waiting in town.
Only Zero can enter the Mirror World and other classes can only be invited to the special dungeons.
There are like five stages in every dungeon. In the last stage you can find a boss monster. You clear the dungeon when you've defeated all monsters including the boss monster. As a reward for clearing dungeons, you get bonus EXP and WP (Weapon Point).
You unlock new skills for Alpha and Beta as you progress in your adventure. You unlock skills at Lv. 100, 115, 120 and so forth. Until Lv. 180 I think.
As you might have seen in the videos, you can either tag or assist. If you are Alpha currently and want to become Beta, you just use a skill of Beta to tag. There is a cooldown of 3 seconds for tagging.
You meet the spirits Lapis and Lazuli only when you have completed a specific part of chapter 1. If you haven't done it yet, you cannot make use of the enhancement system.
These are the spirits that help you enhance and upgrade your weapons.
Zero has a few unique features added to the enhancement system. Zero can have its weapon upgraded at certain levels. The weapons become stronger and will change visually.
Earlier I told you about Weapon Points (WP hereafter). If you view the image above, you see four buttons just above the meso and WP fields.
The first button allows Zero to have Additional Potential on his weapons without the requirement of a scroll. It requires meso and WP. The cost for using this option on my Lv. 100 weapons was 200k meso and 1200 WP.
WP can be obtained from clearing dungeons in Mirror World and by defeating boss monsters.
The second button allows Zero to change its Potential on his weapons. Since my weapons don't have potential yet, I cannot check how much this option will cost.
The third and fourth are weapon upgrade and speak to the spirits respectively.
You can simultaneously scroll both weapons with just one scroll, flame, cube etc. I don't know yet if the potential stats will be the same. When I used the ''Give Additional Potential'' option, it gave me +2% allstats and +3 INT, +3 DEX and +6 LUK as Additional Potential on both my weapons.
well how about critias?or the new city with the new boss(100x1) and stuff?well i don't know, but if there's not zeros class, we will lose all the conection to Mirror word and we can only go(the resto of maple word and grandis) in thoose dangeos... well we won't have much things to do there but how about the shop?how will we buy stuff since it's there the shop?or it's like the event shops?most of the citys have one?i hope so

Hmmm, there's Spiegelmann's Mirror...
Theory: Spiegelmann has been using his powers to send us to Mirror World, that's what Monster Park and other stuff really is.

OT: there's a lot of wasted potential here.. i was hoping they would both be around at the same time and do combos instead of tagging in and out :\
<3 Empress. Though I would prefer them being out at the same time the only "problem" is the android placement.
Dark Link Wrote:Instead, in GMS, it will be filled with peaching and moaning about how people are not gaining EXP from killing monsters and how the class is broken / glitched.
Hilarity will ensue.
Ikr. Won't be surprised if the first from YMCK is someone from here.
IcyHaze Wrote:Pretty sure nexon intend it this way. They did specifically sell them as "one is build for mobbing and one is build for bossing" I guess the tagging is just a necessary tool to give players access to a job that literally has EVERYTHING. I mean looking at all the stolen mobility skills lol. Zero is the mixture of all the "GOODS" of every job we ever known plus equipment spoon feeding(not complaining here)
This is also part of the reason why I was looking forward to having 2 characters to play
PS:After seeing spadow last screenshot, I think I can understand why people just go 95% alpha. Other then that being obviously the superior grindstyle, players are also limited by the keyboard. Your fingers are going to be all over the keyboard if you plan to display all the attacking skills of alpha+beta.
I assumed 2 chars as well but this...is far more interesting to me than i first anticipated.

ZeekFox Wrote:Same thing happens with GMS Luminous. Apocalypse is almost rendered useless because the light side is simply better for grinding. But for a boss run, it's best to swap and use Equilibrium for the burst damage.
Alpha/Beta looks similar. If you look at their masteries, Alpha gets speed, an almost-capped attack speed, and wide attack areas that hit 8 targets on every attack. Beta, however, gets more sheer attack, plus 7% extra damage for each target less than max, meaning she basically gets +35% single target (boss) damage. She also gets 100% Stance and +30% resistances, both of which are far better for bosses and not as important for grinding noob mobs.
Well the way to play the class is up to you. I'd switch a lot b/c regardless of who I attack with their passives have a chance of activating and the passives give benefits to both so you're not losing out on much b/c you switch.
And If what I'm looking at in the videos is correct you don't press tag, tag is a passive that triggers when you press the others skills giving them cool-down, and alpha/beta's skills seem to self link; look at the heneseys video and pay attention to the skill keys, they change as they are pressed.
I think they have built in combos. If this is the case I commend them for this b/c pressing an extra button is unnecessary. Also, while I'm unsure about this since there are always so many #'s on the screen but in the videos where people do combo/switch them a lot it seems like how the skill on the key changes for their own skill it does it for the others possibly initiating a combo string. Also in the videos where they tag more the both seem to stay out. Though having both out would be pretty awesome.
Stupid question: if Zero is both male and female, how does marriage work? Can they marry whoever they want, like they can wear whatever they want?
What about the couple rings in CS which need one male and one female?

This hourglass randomly appears in Mirror World dungeons. It gives you buffs. In this run I got a buff that increases your chances to find Epic equipment by 50% in the dungeon for 2 minutes.
In another run I got a x2 item drop buff for 2 minutes.
I will soon make a video about Zero using both Alpha and Beta's attack. As I progress to a higher level and acquire new skills, I find Zero more and more fun. Because of Alpha and Beta chained attacks.
The new colored damage numbers only appear when Alpha or Beta (depending which one you're using) is automatically attacking.
I double checked today. If you want to acquire EXP from Maple World monsters, you need to complete all eight chapters.
Razmos Wrote:The mirror world dungeons look like a lot of fun.
Is there a daily limit of how many times you can enter as a Zero?
Why would there be a limit? A restriction would be unfair. There is no limit for mini dungeons or normal hunting grounds in Maple World.
But no, there is no daily limit. You can enter as many times as you want. The dungeons and quests from NPCs in Mirror World are the only EXP source for you until Lv. 180 as far as I know.
