And shield mastery blocks as well. I don't see why it is over glorified. :f6: Taking misses does not give you status effects.
And shield mastery easily gets you maximum magic defense.
Having the weapon attack on a shield is also better than the weapon attack on just a 2h sword. Paladins need more attack.

Are you implying that I don't use Guardian for its other passives?
I say it's glorified because some people think you can't live without it.
Shield Mastery doesn't stack at all with Guardian. I tried it with the SP resets we keep getting. When you have lvl1 Guardian, only Guardian activates and Shield Mastery doesn't block at all. You can test max Guardian and see if you get 62% guard rate. If you reset, leave Divine Shield at lvl0 to make it easier to test.
WDEF/MDEF isn't that important. The only thing that kills Paladins is DR anyway.
There's only a marginal difference in WATK on 2h vs 1h+Shield. Besides, higher attack multiplier makes 2H do way more damage anyway. Plus, Rosaries have stats too <_<.

Wouldn't it be better if it was additive? If you increased your total boss% by 16%, you'd actually end up with less unless you had like... over 100%. :S

100%+66%=166%
100%+50%=150*1.16=174% boss.
nope, it's good at any point, 100% boss would mean that the 16% becomes equal to +32% boss.
and with the rosary coming and whatnot, getting 100% boss should be easier for everyone, i'm actually at 101% boss atm (without the 16%)

20% weapon
10% demon slayer
30% full empress armor
3% All S rank deck
3% all S rank deck
haven't even used a nebulite.

I suspect there is a good chance it is multiplicative given that %Damage is applied after i.e. multiplicative. At least that's what that one post said some time ago. Come to think of it, all Azwan bonuses seem to apply "after" normal calculations: +STAT, %Damage, Damage to Towers. Makes me wonder if Buff Duration is, too.

that's why i'm wondering, however all those potentials are "new" potentials so to speak, %damage to normal mobs doesn't work on bosses like %total damage does, so it could be that since they're different potentials that's why they stack multiplicatively (theeeen again, %boss and %total damage stack additively, so this is why i hold hope)

I was implying the blocking push is very useful in boss runs.
Of course you can live without it. I don't see why you shouldn't benefit though.
Waitwait. I always thought shield mastery made you take misses. Does shield mastery make guardian block animations? Are you sure they aren't independent skills?
The less damage you take the better.
I forget. What are the multipliers?
