I dunno why, but when Lightning-bending was established, it was introduced as an extremely high-level bending technique known and practiced by the very few talented firebenders at the time. It's sort of weird to see it so commonplace as it seems in episode 3. I do love how it functions as the core of this newly industrialized society though, but it still seems odd...

Energy Bending?? :O But Aang learned that from a Lion Turtle! How could Amon just pick it up from somewhere????
Very quickly paced and interesting combat. Wonder if Korra will pick up on hand-to-hand combat or learn to fight without bending to counter the chi blocking o_O Also feel like she's going to ask Aang about energy bending like how Aang asked Roku about stuff. But Korra seems to be lacking in the spirit department.

Sarah Wrote:Ah, lame. This seems like the kind of thing that one would be better off watching in a few sittings like Cowboy Bebop If you didn't watch the first season (first three books), it's basically completed. It's like...what, 40 episodes? To be honest almost all anime is better off watching in a few sittings.
