Um... seriously here, Meph just wants you to use terms that aren't potentially confusing. There's no reason to call them "reverse town hero scum" when we can just call them "mafia".

Yes, exactly, somebody explain to me how wanting the flow of information to be streamlined and devoid of potential impediments to discussion makes me closed-minded. I don't get it. Am I being closed-minded by not getting my closed-mindedness?

Yeah. Neutral alignment / independent roles are tough to call. Now that roleblocker and status verifier are on the table, it remains questionable what other abilities remain.

Your ability was to stop any action that was not a mafia kill. It was a (failed) experiment of the role.

But there was no way for any mafia members to know I was working for them or anything. I was just out there on my own. I was screwed, even if I managed to find/block someone there wouldn't be anyway for the mafia to know I did it. I served as a negative detective, being able to find townies with night actions, but still serves no good since I can't help the mafia decide a target.

I recognize that and apologize.

Let my failure serve as an example to others that this way of implementing the role in tying in with the flavor of the story was unsuccessful and to avoid making the same error in the future.
