A Quiet Little Town - Game Over, town wins

The sun touches the horizon, and the sky begins to light up an misty orange color. The mayor looks around at the group, still torn.

"Alright everyone, it's starting to get really late. If you want to change your votes, now is your last chance to do it."

The clock in the meeting hall rings out as the last glimpses of sun are beginning to fade out of view.
"It is decided," the mayor says. He raises his hands and announces that ThatHurts shall be the one you lynch.

Everyone looks around, but you don't seem to be able to find him among the group. "Where is he?" someone asks. Suddenly, a gunshot is heard, and a few people scream out of being startled. Everyone looks around as to where it could have come from, and you all begin checking side rooms. "Oh my god!" screams someone from the bathroom. You all rush inside, ignoring any sense of personal space that the place has.

Inside a bathroom stall, you find ThatHurts, his hand still lazily clinging to his gun. The roll of toilet paper is half gone, appearing as if he used some of it, crying. Upon looking on the wall of the stall, you see a message scrawled in what looks like nervous handwriting.

I'm sorry I failed at the job you all gave me.

And that ends Day 2. ThatHurts, knowing what was going to happen to him, chose to use his single bullet to end his own life and keep the blood off your hands. He was your Vigilante, who never used his gun before he died.

 Role

You are Dalton White, the local watchman. The town has elected you to keep watch for delinquents and ruffians than could be a menace to society. Your gun is your biggest asset now that some horrible underground evil has reared it’s ugly head. You can shoot somebody once at night by PMing me with "Night X - shoot USER," after which you will no longer be able to shoot. You win if the town has eliminated all threats.

It is now Night 2. The night will end at 9 PM EST tomorrow, or when all actions are in.[/COLOR]

Well... damn.

At least we know a little more about the game now. If there continue to be hints each day, they can't be trusted, and that may save us from lynching someone else that's innocent.

That being said, I really hope that the arsonist has a limit on how often they can kill, because losing two innocents a night will end very badly for us. x_x

[COLOR="green"]The alarm clock goes off. Another nightmare. Everyone has been having them lately, with all the death going around. The sunlight pours in through the window, which some of you take to mean it is a good day. Some of you rush outside to look around, others open their windows. One thing is for certain: there's no burning building today.

After having breakfast, you all make your way to the meeting hall. One of you obviously won't show up today. Everyone sits down, and the mayor takes a role call. 14 heads, including himself. He looks back on the name list, then calls out, "Kurtle? Are you here with us today?"

Suddenly, Kurtle rushes into the building, wheezing a bit since he was obviously running to make it here. "Sorry, I got caught up in toilet paper this morning."

"That's fine," the mayor says. "However, in order to stick by the rule I laid down yesterday, I can't allow you to vote for showing up late." After finishing addressing Kurtle, the mayor claps his hands. "Somehow, all 15 of us made it through the night. Not a single person is unaccounted for. But we can't take this as a sign the evil-doers are gone. We have to continue these lynches until we can be definitively certain there will be no more death."

Outside the window, a swarm of seagulls fly by, cawing out loud, in a pattern that almost seems like laughter. It is as if the the heavens themselves are looking down upon the town and smiling.

And that's it. No one died last night. You all sigh, relieved to have made it alive through the night. It is now Day 3, and it will end at 9 EST tomorrow or when majority is reached.

And in case you missed the subtle message, that flock of seagulls is me, enjoying this game to it's fullest.[/COLOR]

Yay for no kill, that's very good news, as for the lynch today, I'll go by gut and vote for [vote]ElectricSix, he has something that makes me not trust him...

Mafia has us in a pretty bad position right now. I'm beginning to think voting No Lynch on Day 1 was a terrible idea. It's only by forcing people to defend themselves and by looking at voting patterns that we can figure out who's mafia. Corn wasted our Day 1 with his stupid miller roleclaim and now we have no hints as to who's mafia because it's easy for everyone to bandwagon No Lynch.

To whoever claimed major roles to be doctor, detective and major, I'm afraid to tell you that at least in this mafia, Major is just a vanilla with a special name :/

This is overkill, but the other people are right about it being the only clue to who might be a mafia member at the moment. Hopefully ThatHurts doesn't turn out to be on the town's side though.

What is it with you people and Synthesist? I mean really. I know him, he's paying attention to the game, and just because someone doesn't talk doesn't mean they're useless or mafia. Watch him be the doctor and then you've pineappleed us all over. =|
