Naruto Thread (Spoilers For Sure)

Honestly, the fact that so many people guessed it was Obito simply because of half-assed joke guessing from his name being an anagram of sorts with Tobi then added how many years of hype to the reveal just to be something everyone already knew in the first place.

Well, how about the fact he appeared to have one eye- and later when that eye was revealed to have Sharingan? That was respectable speculation fuel at least. And there were people who seriously tried to stretch the connection even further by mentioning his hair, but that's incredibly far-fetched and incredibly wishful thinking.

And yeah, the name thing is way too easy. It's not even really an anagram- basically just his name backwards minus the 'o'. If you wrote out the Japanese syllables: O-bi-to to To-bi.

I'm happy with this. At least we were able to guess this one coming for years and actually see that it was true all along- and I totally welcome it if Kishi gives us a good explanation.

Well, any theories on how Obito survived? I suppose he could have been saved by Zetsu as one possibility- and that'd make Zetsu the only one who knows his true identity. Or, he could have somehow unlocked Kamui and saved himself from the boulders.

And as how he could have turned into a villain? We don't know what he was thinking while he was left to die after his eye was taken out. I would honestly laugh if Kishimoto made Obito think about DARKNESS (since you know, his other half crushed under a boulder and his good half without an eye) and start to think genuinely evil thoughts afterwards. And also, it's also possible that if he was found by Zetsu, Zetsu could have been the one who made him the way he is now.

Another thing: there's some real friggin' height problems and other practical issues when you realize Tobi attacked the village only a year or so after he died... How was he able to fight on-par with the 4th Hokage so fast, how'd he grow so fast, etc?

There is one detail. When Obito gave Kakashi his sharingan, this was at the level of 2 points? I mean at the level of Sasuke's sharingan during the battle on the bridge. To use Kamui you need mangekyo so he couldn't have used Kamui to save himself.

Besides obito and nagato which others were there?

Sasuke?. Isn't that enough though? they are biggest villains of the series (well except for Orochimaru but he's been always like Marilin Manso).

Obviously Itachi was lying when he said you had to kill your best friend, or that isn't the only way to get it. Sasuke toook itachis, so he didn't earn his. Kakashi certainly didn't kill his best friend (uhh... Guy? I guess), so he didn't earn his that way.

It's not entirely impossible that Obito fufilled his Mangekyo requirements through some insane luck right then. It's already stupid enough that he survived and went mad, I've already given up any logical explanation.

Logic is lost in manga. I mean, Madara fricken "evolved" a rinnegan from his old sharingan, so I'm sure there's a way to evolve a mangekyo from a normal sharingan.

The question isn't if its possible but how. All eye techniques supposedly come from the Rinnegan, that way it isnt farfetched that Madara would get to evolve his Mangekyo into Rinnegan.

Unlikely. Rin was announced as dead long before the series started (Well, kakashi said anyone he had ever cared about was dead very early on), but kakashi didn't get his mangekyo until years later.

Madara was in the time of the First so I doubt it. He's probably directly related to him though, the Uchicha are pretty tight.

The argument of Obito turning evil for Rin's death would be a good one or at least logical if they'd had a deep love relationship back in those days, but for what I've seen, if anyone, she was in love with Kakashi. Such a pitty, seems Kishimoto improvised in this one.

As for the Kages, they prolly are not dead. I can see Madara being like "may you live and watch how I take over this world, unable to do anything". He is pretty arrogant.

My worry now is how will Naruto and Bee get out of this one.
