Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
What eddiking says its somewhat correct, its like a movement command but it will attack the first thing it comes into your AA range stopping midway if necessary, unlike the normal movement which only attacks something nearby when it finish moving.

And like kaitiji said, its a pretty important tool for AA champs to avoid being juked from corners and bushes mostly.

And for kiting i guess its click -> Shift Click -> Click -> Etc.

of course if there are minions nearby i think its best to do the normal method of click -> Enemy click -> Click -> etc, because i dont think this command gives priority to attacking champions.
Is smart-casting the thing where the game basically auto-targets the closest enemy champ for you at the fastest possible instant? o_o

Never understood why autocasting was so much better than not doing it.

No. The main difference between smartcast and manual cast is speed and control. With manual cast, you have better indication and deliberation about where you cast your spells. However, since it involves hitting a keyboard key and then clicking with the mouse, that's significantly slower than mashing a hotkey or two for smartcast. The downside of smartcasting is that sometimes you throw spells at wrong angles, or worse, in completely wrong directions.

Good times to smartcast: bursting someone down, getting shyt done fast and getting the fk out.
Bad times to smartcast: certain ultimates, long cooldown skills.

With Anivia, if someone is low and accidentally wanders too close, I can FlashFrostbiteGlacialstormIgnite, but only if they don't Flash away or some other crazy shyt like Silence. I can achieve this with smartcasting, but I cannot do the same with manual casting. I'm simply not fast enough with my left and right hand coordination. Sometimes if I get too zealous, I accidentally smartcast my wall, haha xD

While smartcasting is fast, keep in mind that the ultimate time constraint is casting time. With the example with Anivia, only Frostbite has a cast time. However, if you're trying to blow someone up with Veigar, you'll find yourself stuck in place casting shyt for at least 1 second.
FenixR Wrote:Nope. And that command can also be done with Shift+Click.
Nope? What do you mean nope? Yup?
My bad im kinda tired. No to the clicking someone and it will automatically target when it comes to range, since if he gets out of range it will lose target and you stop moving in that instant. (And i mean sight range not aa range, unless ray meant aa range)

A-move (Press A then click a spot on the map) means that you move to that spot but you will stop at any point there's any enemy/neutral monster/champion in range. So, if you a-move around a corner you will automatically attack any champion that's around that corner.

Does that make sense?
But if you click a enemy champion with it, and the enemy happens to go out of your sight, it happens what i described. Im quite familiar with the Attack Move command (Aka Shift+Click)

But...you aren't...supposed to click an enemy champion with it....You shouldn't really click anything with it...

That is very silly. It's almost like predicting the future with a schedule.
