Decided to stop hounding after a dam VIP Claw. Stupid Nexon and their lack of info. Thought I'd make myself a new Reverse Lampion and white scroll it if it got 3 lines instead.

Not from what I can tell. If I recall correctly, Black alters anything on the item already and Dark can add any stat.

No, I'm quite sure Black does alter anything on the item already. I've Makered a ton of archer equips using my spare Black Crystal ores, with them almost always affecting stuff like Defense and Avoid. Usually negatively, which is why I stopped using them as of late. >_>

You do realize that could just be the item itself going above or below, right? When you maker things without any crystals at all items can have above or below average stats.. you aren't guaranteed to get perfectly average stats every time.

I am 100% positive Black Crystals only alter W.Att/M.Att. Dark Crystals alter Str/Dex/Int/Luk that is already on the item.
Using Black Crystals on anything but weapons will do absolutely nothing.

Black crystals affect anything the normal jewels do (def, acc/avd, speed/jump, atk/matk, hp/mp)
Dark crystals affect anything the other crystals do (str/dex/luk/int)

Easy test: put a stat that wasn't originally on the item. I know people with 7 speed equips, because they did +5 speed +black crystals.

Backing this up to be true. BC affects anything non-AP and acts like a chaos. DC affects anything AP-stat related like a chaos.

Cubed my top from rare today.
First cube got it to epic, 7th got it here;


Then I tossed a few cubes at it for useful stats;

I'm pleased with it, even tho I wanted 3 lines... 5% stun and 5att is okay I believe, considering I used no cubes yet.
