When did he learn that move? He spent all that time in the box, i'm expecting a backstory on all this in the next chapter. Maybe after seeing the move so many times he learned it but, doesnt it have a backlash meaning his attack power is low? Maybe urahara saved ichigo and taught him how to do this? Maybe ichigo is part quincy and his mom had an affair?

Adopting quincy powers is FAR from unheard of considering he already has full bring, shinigami, and hollow powers.

What I find strange is that we haven't seen his hollow form for a while now and we only saw what I like to call his 'uber-hollowness' (what he became when he fought Ulquiorra) one time. I am very much expecting and hoping that we see all that again.

I have no idea how Ichigo obtained those Quincy abilities, but it definitely has something to do how Ichigo and Urahara were rescued from that situation. I also keep expecting Ishida to show up at any time.

Except you don't inherit Quincy abilities, they are just a particular fighting style that spiritually aware creatures can use. This means that shinigami's, hollows and spiritually aware humans can use Quincy abilities. That's also the reason why we had the arrancar/quincy hybrid a few chapters ago, Ebern. Ichigo was already able to form a path of reishi in the garganta to some degree and we could see Uryu had a way better mastery of that particular skill. It isn't that much of a stretch that he's now able to control reishi more effectively after such a long time. He has also seen blut vein in action and got Uruhara's take on it. Time flows slower between the worlds as well. This means he had some prior skill, the time to master this ability and he knew the specfics of the technique.

WEll, at first I was like "Kubo and Kshimoto are betting on who can get the main character beat the worst", but then Ichigo made his move

My bet. If you remember Isshin interrupted Aizen when he was about to tell Ichigo why he kept an eye on him all of his life. He said Ichigo has the most potential being the soon of a Shinigame and a ... (which most assumed Hollow, although Quncy makes more sense).

As much as I wish for this, we got no idea if he still can use any of that power. If you remember he gto drained from it by Ginjo right after revealing as villain. Heck, we don't even know if Ichigo can use Hollow form anymore.

I doubt it. I always thought his mom was a hollow but since we found out that his hollow powers probably came from his mom getting attacked by a hollow when Ichigo was still in the womb, I bet his mom was a Quincy.

Who exactly are the special war potentials the King talks about? There are five. Imo, it is clear who the first three are:

1. Ichigo
2. Uryu Ishida
3. Aizen
4. ?

I made the same question here, got ignored

I am not sure about Uryuu, there's nothing special we know about him other than he's pretty cunning. Something we know is Juhabach wants to recruit the warring potentials, he tried it with Aizen, currently trying with Ichigo. Uryuu would most likely accept for whatever reason (his grandfather maybe) and fight Ichigo. There's also big chance that Orihime is one aswell given her ability is trully capable of negating any event. I find that really hard to believe though considering that'd make her capable from reviving Yamamoto to reverting Juhabach's aging process to a baby. Overpowered

There's also chance some of these are new characters to be introduced. Considering over half the current characters were just killed that would be ok.

My reasoning for Ishida being on the list is that Kirbe Opie, the Quincy executive hunting captain who fought and trapped Ichigo, said that Ishida had to be stronger than he was. When Ichigo asked him about it, Kirge said he had already said too much. By this I am assuming that Ishida has hidden potential.

Yea I just reread chapter 505 and your right, Kenpachi is one. It's wired because I know he is strong, but Juha Bach's copy was able to destroy him so easily. Idk about Urahara, but he is pretty strong and crafty.

Well the war potentials are simply people who pose an ultimate thread. I find it stupid how ichigo didn't even fight for more than two pages before releasing some fairy god mother sh`it. I mean he even got stabbed in the throat, effortlessly. It's like we reached this god tier (aizen vs ichigo) then all of a sudden they're ant's again. I mean the highest levels of kido were bi`tch slapped, and you'e telling me they can't even lift a finger.

I mean the idea of kenpachi getting his ass kicked by a minion baffles me, and byakagan(sp) dying, like right after a push over arc? Cmon people

I disagree, war potentials are people who have unquantifiable power, that doesn't necassarily mean they're a big threat like we could see with kenpachi (also the reason yamamoto wasn't a war potential, but clearly a big threat). There are currently 3 known war potentials: Ichigo, Aizen and Kenpachi. I think an unexpected candidate might be the third espada haribell, because she is also locked up and used to power their troops just like they are trying to do now with Ichigo. Then there are the likely candidates most people probably thought of like Shinji, Grimmjow, Uryu, Ryuken, Nel, Unohana, Isshin, Urahara, Yoroichi, Orihimi and the Kido squad boss (or maybe someone we don't even know yet, like from the zero squad). I actually think it's refreshing to see some challenge for the gotei 13, considering the espada's were all extremely weak. I hope Uryu shows up soon and kick some serious ass!
